Stayed July 2014. The reception gave us a larger room that came with a kitchenette for our five night stay. The room was the largest one our trip to Italy which was nice. Wifi did not really work in the room, nor did our 3G. The hotel is conveniently 10mins from the train station and you can stroll your luggage...

Central location. Very convenient, it's really close to the Duomo. The bed is large and comfortable. However, everything in the room seems quite old, and the room itself is not very clean. Also, it's very noisy during both day and night...we can hear people downstairs (which is a busy street) talking, yelling, laughing even in the midnight......

First off - this place is sort of no frills, from a service standpoint. The owners that service it are not on site 24/7. They are there mostly in the morning. They depend on savvy travelers, ready to follow the directions provided to gain access to your room. Having said that - the directions are very clear, the location is...

With only 2 nights in Florence we wanted a central location, close to everything yet within walking distance of the station - and at a reasonable price. We got it! The room was huge with a huge bathroom too. Everything worked well, it was spotlessly clean, and the bed was comfortable. As our room wasn't quite ready we went round...

And the best part is how centrally located it is to everything. Also the oweners were very helpful after our luggage was left in...

We stayed three very comfortable nights at this guest house in Florence. Check in was easy. We arrived in the afternoon when the desk is unattended but we had an entry code and clear instructions regarding which room was ours and keys to the room. The location is fabulous- close walk to everything. The room was large by European standards....

Positioned right between the main train terminal and the duomo, this made the location excellent when arriving into Florence and for basing yourself to explore the citt. This is not a B&B or a hotel, so don't expect breakfast or facilities to make it. But, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were large and clean and the...

It is located very close to Duomo and close to train station as well. You can reach most places by walking (within 10 mins) The room is very clean and tidy. The owners were very friendly and even though it is situated on the busy street, it was amazingly quiet at night.

I stayed here for 4 nights in June and it was excellent. The location was perfect, being only 30 yards from the Duomo and most of the sights within easy walking distance. The room was very spacious and even had a kitchenette with fridge, hob and microwave. The owners were very freindly and helpful and all in all great value...

Lovely room, amazing location. Safe, clean and tidy, plus cheap water bottles for sale. The door was locked when I arrived (the fault of another guest not management) but repeated calls to management got me nowhere. After an hour guests with a key arrived and let me in. Would still HIGHLY recommend this place for a short stay.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
