PRO
The structure is located very close to the center, on the 4th floor of a building that is a little old on the outside, but the inside is amazing! Room with attention to every detail and even the common part of the house is always kept tidy with great care from the owner, a delightful and very kind lady. We only stayed one night, but I must underline that I would have gladly stayed longer, there are many common areas and the living room has an excellent relaxation area and in the kitchen we found water and, although the booking did not include breakfast, instead in the morning we found fresh croissants, fruit juices, water, yogurt, in short, a treat. I am also happy to point out that the shower in the room is huge!!!

AGAINST
Nothing, only the external part of the building is a
a little old
Unfortunately there was construction going on on the street
Very small elevator

Service:

The staff was very welcoming and was flexible given the issues and delays we ran into coming to Florence from Rome.
Everyday, they would propose to us coffees and cappuccinos, would answer all of our questions and resolve any issues we had. There was always bottles of water, beers, juice and yogurts in the fridge, snacks and croissant in the morning, Nespresso coffee machine and a selection of great teas available.
I couldn’t ask more in terms of service!

Facilities:

The room was spacious, very clean and and modern with a strong adjustable AC. Huge bathroom with a large ceramic shower and glass door (never seen this large of a shower in a hotel).
I’m usually very picky when it comes to bathrooms, but this one was perfect!

Location:

In the heart of Florence, we always reached any locations in less than 10-15 min. Michelangelo’s David is literally 2 minutes away. It was great as we could change clothes when we felt like we needed to and it avoided us walking around too much late at night.
Also, if you go out to drink late at night, there is a McDonald’s on the corner (don’t eat McDonald’s in Italy…).

Honestly, great hotel with great staff.

We were hesitant given the low amount of ratings, but took a chance it was an amazing decision!

Thanks for everything!

In the heart of the city and conveniently located near all of best that Florence has to offer, this inn is tucked away on the top floor of the building and away from the noise from the street below. My girlfriend and I felt safe and extremely well taken care of. The staff and hostess were so accommodating. They made us complimentary cappuccinos in the morning with croissant’s and always had the fridge stocked with complimentary bottled water, beer, and champagne. Would stay there again and again. Highly recommend!

What a pleasure- an unexpected find at the foot of the Duomo. The sitting room opposite the kitchen was lovely to enjoy the complimentary coffee, water, yogurt & croissant. Amenities were abundant, bed so comfortable we slept too long. Nice bathroom. We certainly would go back!
Hotel suggested Caffe Foggia (?) great Florentine flavor.

My wife and I spent three enjoyable days at San Giuliano Inn (SGI) during the first part of November 2024.

The hotel is in a great location. Easy walking distance from all the important sites.

I don't know what kind of windows they have but they blocked out almost all the street noise. There was street construction going on just under our window, but it was incredible how little noise we heard when the windows were closed. In addition to the windows being basically soundproof, they have shades built into them that you can lower and block out all the light.

At many hotels in Italy, you have to go up 4 or 5 steps to reach the elevator. 4 or 5 steps may not seem like much but when you have large, heavy suitcases the stairs can be problematic. At SGI there are no steps to reach the elevator. In our opinion this is a big plus.

The staff is excellent. They speak perfect English. Dexter will take care of all your needs.

SGI says it does not serve breakfast. However, croissants, tea and coffee are available every morning at no additional cost. Dexter will make you a cappuccino that's as good as any cappuccino you can get in a coffee bar unlike the horrible cappuccinos that the fully automated machines make in most hotels. There was also a little refrigerator in the room.

The hot water is instant and there's plenty of it. There was good water pressure in the shower and the shower drained properly.

Bottom line is this is a great hotel. We definitely will return.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the San Giuliano Inn Florence, Italy. In our boutique hotel room we spent late evenings enjoying wines, charcuterie, desserts and great conversation because it was an elegant and very comfortable room. Complimentary continental breakfasts, great espresso and a complimentary refrigerator with all the beverages you could imagine.

Amazing 3 night stay here. The location is perfect and very central. The rooms are modern, clean, homely and have everything you need. Staff are very kind and cannot do enough for you. They made us a cappuccino every morning with croissants. There is 24hr access to the fridge and kitchen where you can have a coffee at any time. The fridge is also stocked with water/orange juice/milk/yogurts that you have access to free of charge. Rooms are cleaned daily. Access to an iron on request. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

Stayed at the San Giuliano Inn for 2 nights whilst in Florence and would absolutely recommend it!
The communication in advance was fantastic (they don't have a 24 hour reception so were in touch in advance to confirm our arrival time) and all the staff we encountered were very polite and helpful.
The hotel is 6 rooms on the 4th floor of a town house, we took the challenge of the stairs but there is a very small lift.
The room was lovely, just about had a view of the Duomo, very clean and had a lovely comfy bed. The bathroom was very clean and had a huge shower area.
We very much enjoyed use of the communal kitchen with had access to tea/coffee as well as cold drinks including beer and wine in the fridge. We really appreciated the pastries and yogurt available for breakfast as well - we found breakfast in Italy didn't really exist so this was much appreciated.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would certainly recommend.

Where to begin... yes it is not exactly cheap, but you will sleep almost right in the middle of Firenze in tastefully and cozy refurbished "it used to be an apartment" b&b. There are many other details making the price reasonable. Coffee, tea, fruits, beverages and pastries in the shared kitchen, helpful and attentive staff (cheers Bryan) or the fact that every room has its little corridor so your room is behind two doors from the hallway which means San Giuliano Inn have one of the quietest rooms I have ever stayed in.
There are so many amazing spots nearby, just to point out some of them: great coffee in Simbiosi Coffee or filled ciabattas in SandwiChic on the opposite side of the street or amazing food (gluten and lactose free as well) just a few steps away in lovely Il Desco Bistrot or have a glass of wine in cosy Vineria Sonora on your evening way back to this great accommodation.
Only recommendation I would have for the owners: With all those nice decorations and furniture which make your b&b pleasant and unique, It might be needet to pay more attention to vacuum and dust cleaning.

This is a convenient location for all the sights & sound-proofed windows for quietness. Room had a view over roof tops to the Duomo. Room clean, bed comfortable, nice bathroom with good shower. One aspect we liked was there is a well stocked kitchenette for guests use, good coffee machine & always cold bottled water. In the mornings there was always a member of staff to make coffee/tea etc & fresh croissants, and a comfy lounge to sit in, so whilst there's not a dining room you can have breakfast before leaving for the day. Michaela was very helpful booking our taxis from & to airport. Would recommend

We found an Express Wash that was toward the direction of the train station. There is a change machine to get tokens I believe. Seemed clean enough, we just sat in there for a couple hours and planned our sightseeing for the day.
