The check in information telling me to go to another address arrived at 1.00am. The phone number was not answered from 5pm until 8pm despite numerous calls. The front door of the hotel was locked. The tiny sign on the door made the “hotel” very hard to find. When we got in the door as someone was leaving we had to climb four flights of stairs to find no one in the “hotel”; open but completely empty! This is not a hotel, this is a few rooms at the top of a lovely old central city building which are rented by a company 300 metres walk away through cobbled streets. The room was fine. Once we had checked in we were given access to the lift so no more climbing all the stairs. The check-in lady was completely unapologetic, blaming me for not reading an email she said she sent but received until 5 hours later. I’m not sure it that was her mistake or Expedia’s but they have never let me down before. The “parking available” is 7 minutes walk through cobbled streets so the luggage is difficult. It was excellent value and I can imagine using them again now that I know where to go but I’ll go back to others I’ve stayed in if available next time. …

While flying from Portugal to Florence, Antico Centro Suites cancelled my booking. When I was in transit in Paris, they informed me that my card had declined (I had made the booking months previously and the card had expired and was replaced). I informed them that I had another card I could give them immediately but they said they had already given my room away. I was flying into Florence at 10pm at night for one week with no accommodation. They were unapologetic and made no effort to help me. I had to book somewhere 30 minutes out of the city at twice the price.

If you accept room 408 at via de Brunelleschi no 5, be aware that you will have to climb steap stairs with your luggage, that there is only a small top window in your room, and you risk there is no water in the bathroom (lack of pressure) When you complain, the staff can/will not help you when needed and subsequently they ignore your request for refund of your rent. It is unprofessional and not acceptable.

The service and the location were excellent but we had a room with the windows facing a wall. That was a bit disappointing. The communication and check in was also very clear and easy. The staff was helpful.

We had a great stay at Antico Centro suites!!! We checked in at Martinelli 6 Suites and the lady was very nice and helpful and explained everything perfectly to us! Our room was nice and clean! We liked the building (not like a hotel, more like we really lived in Florence). And it was directly in the city, just an few minutes walk to Duomo and to Uffizi!

Our host met us on arrival, gave us a map we used for everything, and gave us good tips also. It was very useful. The staff was always friendly and kind. The room was clean and comfortable. Location: we walked to everything we wanted to see.

The suites were in a great location- very central to everything. Staff were super friendly. The were very attentive. Room was spacious and comfortable. Coffee machine was very useful. Will definitely come back again!

Atico Central Suites was a fantastic choice for us. So central, friendly, helpful staff and a clean, spacious and modern room. We ate breakfast out each day. Everywhere here was walking distance including the train. Highly recommended! Tricky to find however with small sign at door next to Hard Rock Cafe and reception and suites on 4th floor with lift.

The Antico Center Hotel suite has all the qualities of a good lodging. The man who received us very kind and professional. The clean and comfortable room. Includes safe and fridge. Located in the center of everything. It is perfect to go on vacation to get to know the city.
