Villa provide fantastic rooms and the the views are beautiful. Staff are extremely friendly. Best holiday ever for me, my wife and teenager son. We love the breakfast spread and view while eating outdoors. Thanks for the experience. Will look forward to come back again in the not so near future.

Our family's amazing visit to Italy was topped of by an equally amazing stay at Villa Di Campolungo. Silvia and Ann Caroline were warm and very hospitable hosts, and the food was top notch. Definitely going back there if I ever come back to Florence.

What an amazing property and host family at this little gem in the hills above Florence. Our five wine lover couples, from Los Angeles, took over five rooms for a recent three night stay. It was our groups favorite experience over a two week adventure through Italy and France. It's a very nicely renovated 15th Century farmhouse- Super comfortable foam...

We stayed for a week. Our room, L'Orciaia, was wonderful. Lots of space and comfortable furniture to sit and relax and read after sightseeing. Sylvia has wonderful taste and the whole place is beautifully done. The bed was really comfortable too. Actually the whole place was great.

Spacious room with beautiful bathroom. The place is so quiet and serene with view to Tuscan hills. Breakfast is served in a the dining room. Make sure you have a car, the place is quite secluded. It is in Fiesole province not town. about a 15 minutes drive to Fiesole.

My girlfriend and I were lucky to be able to spend time here at Villa Di Campolungo Agriturismo. We had an amazing time at this beautiful B&B where it is located on the hill with a spectacular view. Although it is very rural, Villa Di Campolungo Agriturismo is only 15 min drive from the center of the city. The B&B...

Thank you Reo for your exhaustive review. Yes, we are in a rural context but at the same time only 15 minutes from Florence downtown. We chose warm colours for our rooms to match the colours of the beautiful landscape surrounding the villa, but also in order to offer our guests the feeling of beeing in a cozy and welcoming...

We were fortunate to be able to spend 5 nights here as our first landing in Italy. While we had trouble finding the Villa initially, Silvia later explained an easier route driving in and out, and directed us to nearby restaurants. The breakfast food was fresh, delicious, and varied daily.Fresh fruits were in abundance , some transformed into mouthwatering jams or...

Maybe it was traveller's burn-out...too much autostrada, too many blind alleys and Italian tailgaters...but we expected a bit more from Villa Di Campolungo. After a grueling few hours trying to find the place, we arrived in late afternoon (the inn keeper had emailed us asking our arrival time, which we informed her would be sometime after 4). When we arrived,...

My husband and I were lucky enough to spend six nights here last week for our honeymoon. We researched Tuscan agriturismos and B&Bs carefully before choosing Sylvia and Eric's, and we're so glad we did! As others have said, you would be hard pressed to find somewhere better in the region. Although beautifully rural, it's near Florence, and we even...

My family and me travelled around Italy and as we live in a very crowd city as London, we decided to visit the most important Italian cities, staying in the countryside. What a fantastic choice we made! Villa di Campolungo is located only 15 minutes far from the centre of Florence, though it is immersed in beatiful olive trees' fields....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Villa di Campolungo is the manor-house of a farming estate, surrounded by olive trees, whose origins go far back in time, so much so, that already in 1427 mention was made of it as an "elegant residence". The compound is structured as a tiny hamlet overlooking the gentle Tuscan countryside. It is situated on a hill in the heart of the Mugnone Valley, in the Municipality of Fiesole, a place of uncontaminated beauty, which falls under certain landscape and environmental constraints but which is also strategically near the centre of Florence. The Villa is owned by an Italo-Norwegian family that has devoted itself with great passion and enthusiasm to the refurbishment of the buildings, employing traditional materials and to the re-organization of the farm, which is now once again starting to produce small quantities of the most prestigious extra-virgin olive oil and wine grapes.Six charming rooms, all refurbished with the greatest of care so as not to forego the taste for local traditions, have been derived from the ancient farmhouse and orciaia. Their interiors are decorated in country style, reconciling contemporary taste with period furniture, hand made cotto and fabrics and upholstery of the Tuscan tradition. Guests are welcomed with the warmth and kindness that is normally reserved to family friends and may enjoy all the comforts of a modern accommodation while immersing themselves in nature. ... more   less
