We chose this hotel because we were doing cooking school in Lucca & the cooking school was right next door. Everyone spoke very good English and the main floor had a cappuccino bar and wine bar, although I didn't see a single person sitting on all those couches and chairs in the 4 days we were there. The room was...

According to BOOKING recommendations I choose Hotel Carignano for 1 day stay on the way between Pisa to Lucca and at the end to Cinque Terre. Unfortunttly hotel is loosing it's stars...the infrastructure is old and not well maintened, the toilet in room needs renovation and the breakfast offer is poor. Otherwise location is good ... 10 minutes far from...

I stayed here for one night. Nice restaurant next door. Very helpful staff. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Good value I thought. Would stay here again. Nice pool, helpful friendly staff who speak excellent English (thank you Valentina!), not far from Lucca in a nice rural spot but not hidden away or difficult to find. Biker friendly with lots of...

During your travels you always have some hotels where you have one or two disagreements... this one cumulated more than imaginable. First, the staff, you can't count on them. Following a mistake on the invoice, we asked for a refund. They told us that there is no problem they will do it next week (after our departure). We trusted them...

When you book hotel rooms through web sites it is hard to know exactly what to expect. Almost like Forrest Gump – you never know what youre gonna get even though you have seen pictures and read reviews. Hotel Carignano was a positive surprise for us: Quiet, a little remote, a very nice pool area and a perfectly OK breakfast.We...

The hotel, the restaurant, the town in general is amazing! This is an adorable Italian village in Tuscany. The staff at the hotel were genuinely friendly. The rooms, although basic, are very spacious and have balconies with mesmerizing views of the countryside. Now, let’s talk about the restaurant: best pasta ever!!! I also had steak with feta and gnocchi, and...

We stayed here for 1 night as part of a cycling holiday. Bike racks right by the front door, a pool to cool off in, an easy ride into Lucca's old town (a beautiful place to visit) and a fantastic restaurant next door (amazing food! You must try the Tuscan steak!). Room was spacious. Lovely short stay.

My boys and I are staying here as part of our biking holiday. We were given a very friendly welcome. The rooms are spacious and ours overlooked the very nice pool. The restaurant next door was fabulous. Wish we were staying longer. Cannot find fault with it. Oh yes, no tea making facilities but no Italian hotel seems to have...

We made reservation at last minute -- actually we just drove up to this place, because we took an unplanned detour through Lucca to see some friends. I would recommend it because the people who work there are so friendly. It is a dog-friendly hotel. That's a major thing. Its decor, like carpeting and walls, need updating and it has...

This country hotel is 10 minutes away from the centre of Lucca. I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. The management has changed recently so the restaurant next door is now separate from the hotel which means you can't pay for your meals there by signing on your room. The rooms are comfortable. clean but simply decorated. I had...
