We stayed here with friends for three nights and I can only say that this was an excellent B&B. Our room and the bathroom were large, everything was very clean. Massimo is one of the best host we ever had. Apart from advices about what to do and how to drive, he even looks if the road is free so... More

Both of us Really enjoyed Massimo's hospitality. The B&B was very comfortable. It is a little distance from the old part of Lucca and it is a challenge getting out of the driveway onto romana but of course Massimo's stopped the traffic to allow us to do it easily. On day 1 we were having lunch in the beautiful gardens... More

I stayed Le Giare fall of 2012. Then, I was little bit scared cause it was rainy and Bus driver dropped me off just a empty rural road. There was no guesthouse I had reserved. So I had to find another one and I found the Le Giare. I came into there with almost crying face. To me, the host... More

During our recent European vacation we arrived in Lucca late one afternoon without a place to stay. After getting lost, we accidentally stumbled upon Le Giare which turned out to be a gem of a B&B. After inquiring whether there was a spare room we were warmly welcomed by the Signora, and later by her son Massimo, and shown to... More

We spent the last night of our vacation in Tuscany at Le Giare in Lucca, which is run by Massimo and his mother. We all agreed our stay has been the perfect last night of our vacation. When we arrived, we were greeted friendly, and got help from Massimo bringing our bags upstairs. The B&B is probably the cleanest we... More

We stayed at Le Giare for 4 nights . Beautifull room, spacious bathroom, very ,very clean and attention to detail. Massimo has an intimate knowledge of the area and gave us valuable advice on what to see and visit in Tuscany. We had quite a hectic schedule in Italy and it was nice at Le Giare to unwind in the... We stayed for three nights at Le Giare and despite the odd shower and thunder we had a great time at Le Giare. Massimo couldn't do enough for us to make this an unforgettable stay. The service was next to none! Can highly recommend! Don't bother looking for anywhere else to stay near Lucca!

My husband and I visited Lucca in May of last year. We spent three nights at B&B Le Giare - a (better) home away the home. The venue in a renovated villa is lovely, well-appointed and beautifully located within a short walking distance to the walled old city. Our hosts were welcoming yet very attentive to allowing us to have... More
