Beautiful old rooms that are very trad. The bed was very comfortable & the breakfast was great. The staff are lovely. The view from the riverside room was wonderful the only down side was that students made a lot of noise at night coming out from a nearby square. Take ear plugs!

This hotel was suitable for what we wanted, which was an overnight stay in a convenient location. It is a short walk from the railway station, and a taxi to the airport (arranged by the staff and arriving in 5 minutes!) cost 13 euros. Be aware, it is a budget location and therefore has an old-fashioned feel to it. The... More

This hotel was a pleasant surprise for us. We knew that it was old and in need of TLC but we loved the old charm about it. The staff were very pleasant and the location was perfect. I would definitely stay here again

Just completed a four night stay at this hotel. We loved the easy access from hotel to the train station and Leaning Tower. Also the roof garden was great for a picnic, to catch the sun and evening drink. The hotel has beautiful features like the old floor tiles, attractive windows good breakfast with home made cake and pretty China.... More

Rooms are relatively spacious but lack even basic maintenance. Toilette seat was broken (yes for real!), hot water didn't even enough pressure so it was simply impractical to have a shower.... and windows were covered by mold! It was simply impossible to sleep because of the noise coming from outside the hotel. Positive sides: there was a pretty good breakfast... More

This was probably one of the worst places I have stayed in in the past 5 years. The hotel could be lovely as it is in a great location on the banks of the river but so many things let it down. The whole place feels large and unloved with too many open areas with nothing in them! The room... More

Royal Victoria is located on the Arno River, and our views over the river were memorable: from beautiful sunrises and sunsets, to a spectacular thunderstorm. The Leaning Tower is an easy 10-15 minute stroll from the hotel on mostly-pedestrian-only streets. We stayed here twice on our trip through Italy, once making a connection by train, the other time by air.... More

Fantastic location in Pisa. Overlooking the Arno river, easy walk to the Tower, shopping and train station. In the historic centre and surrounded by plenty of good restaurants. This is an old family run hotel. It has seen better days and the family very much wish to renovate it, but they are realistic that they can't do it all at... More

Not sure how this hotel made Rick Steve's recommendation. Old, smelly, run down, and in a very very noisy part of town (shouting, breaking glass, car radios blasting, sirens ALL NIGHT.) View of the Arno is NOT a perk! I would highly NOT recommend!!!! Breakfast was good.

This a very old hotel on the banks of the Arno. The street in front of the hotel is very busy and our room which faced the street was noisy with emergency vehicles and revelers at all hours of the day and night. The room was, in a word, tired. The bed mattresses had seen better days and the bathroom... More
