We arrived in Pisa for a two night stopover on our way to our farmhouse in the North. We are a family of 5 and had a larger room on the 3rd floor. The first night was very noisy with other people in the hotel shouting and talking all night long hence we then all overslept and missed breakfast. We...

My wife & I stayed for one night at the Hotel Bologna. It's an older hotel which still presents reasonably well. The staff on the front desk all spoke English and were quite helpful throughout our stay. A nice 10 minute stroll will take you through some nice shop filled streets as you head you way to the river and...

Having just returned from here and stayed one night I was pleasantly surprised considering previous reviews on room size. I had booked a quad room for a family of 4 and was quoted 169 euros for the night including breakfast. The airport shuttle service the next day was 20 euros which is a rip off but better than walking from...

We booked one night before arriving through Venere.com so the staff was slightly confused when they realized they didn't have our reservation, nontheless they gave us a room for 3 ppl (we were two). The room was spacious, wonderfully decorated with a big flat screen, the bathroom was also lovely, all in all way above my expectations. The location is...

We had a one night stay here, with a child in a wheelchair. Very easy to get to from the airport (local bus from the airport stopped less than 5 mins walk from the hotel). Excellent staff, very attentive, good recommendations for restaurants, nice bar for later. 20 mins easy walk through the town to the Tower. Would very happily...

I have just returned from a bi-annual gallivant with 7 friends. We chose Italy and Pisa as it is served by a cheap airline from Liverpool. We chose the hotel by looking at a number of sites. I was worried by the range of comments from A+ t0 D-, but some people must have daft ideas. Everything about Hotel Bologna was...

Pisa requires only a day for the main sites to be enjoyed. So if like me your flight times land late afternoon this hotel will suite your needs. I originally booked this hotel for its reasonable price and location for a 1 night stop over. It is perfectly half way between the train station and the tower. So is only...

After a holiday in Tuscany, we had a red-eye flight out of Pisa and so had to stay overnight in town. The Bologna Hotel was well priced and central, but most importantly had a triple room. We have a 3 year old and a baby and the Bologna had no trouble accommodating us. In fact the cot was one of...

My wife, daughter and I had a lovely stay at the Bologna. The rooms were spacious and modern. The staff were very helpful. The location was perfect - close to the tower, train station, airport and city centre. Very good value and great breakfast.

I arrived in Pisa on my own, very tired, after a long journey, and frustrated from not being able to print out my ryanair boading pass anywhere. I've been in Pisa several times before, so I walked from the train station. It is an easy walk, but the area immediately around the station is pretty grotty. Even though, it was...
