I couldn't love this hotel any more than I do! A former convent, it is lovely in every way. Beautifully decorated with antiques, top quality bedding, all the right amenities. The architecture is gorgeous, with an open court in the middle of the building, beautiful patios, seating areas. Great views of the countryside and of the town of San Gimignano....

You are certainly only paying for the amazing building. It was plenty expensive but there was no soap in the bathroom (we had to ask for some) no lotion, tissues or "luxury items" despite the luxury price. Breakfast mediocre and the same items appeared from the day before. No toaster to toast bread. The reason I gave it as many...

This is a very lovely hotel just outside of San Gimignano, with stunning views over the town. We stayed here for 4 nights as part of a tour and it was very peaceful and relaxing. Our room was nice although not really luxurious. It was kind of dark and cramped but quite comfortable so no real complaints. The shower did...

Very good service. Nice interior. The garden and areas around the building could need some more attention to match the beautiful building, and so could the pool. The breakfast was fantastic with fresh fruits and home made bread and pastery.

Such a lovely setting, the views across to San Gimignano are beautiful, the staff were outstanding and the facilities very good indeed. It's a very quiet and peaceful hotel so I feel it's more of a adult hotel than suitable for kids. It took us about 15 minutes to walk in to San Gimignano and there are so many gorgeous...

Excellent service from very friendly staff. Location close enough to walk to San Gimignano town. Room, public areas in hotel, pool, all very well maintained. Food great. No hesitation in recommending and looking forward to returning in the future.

My husband and I stayed at La Collegiata for 2 nights. It's a beautiful hotel in a very convenient location to visit San Gimignano. The hotel staff were really pleasant and accommodating. The hotel and grounds are lovely. The building has a really interesting history and many of its original artifacts are on display in a museum in San Gimignano....

We spent 5 nights here and the hotel is beautiful. The grounds and public areas are pristine. The bedrooms are exceptionally clean, the bathrooms are a good size, with hair dryer and luxary toiletries provided. The rooms are cool, have nice views and quiet air conditioning is always a plus. The staff were extremely accommodating, nothing was too much trouble,...

We spent three nights in this hotel and really enjoyed our stay. The building and the gardens are so beautiful. The view is unbelievable. We stayed in the annex 24, the room is big and with some characters, the bathroom is spotless. It's very quiet day and night. The swimming pool is lovely and reasonable quiet. Staff are friendly and...

We stayed for seven nights. Upstairs room, great views of San Gimignano two kilometres away. Attentive service, great pool area and set in lovely gardens. We dined in one night and found the food very good but not spectacular. However the service, staff and breakfasts were sublime. Not cheap as the total bill exceeded €1500 but worth the money.
