This is such a charming place in a gorgeous location. The breakfast was great, the room was comfortable and welcoming. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Plus, San Gimignano village is so delightful. Highly recommended! Do be sure to get good directions though as we did need help finding the place.

I spent months researching places to stay for our trip to Tuscany and this was definitely a pleasant surprise. We stayed in San Gimignano in May 2012 and although it rained a little bit each day, we still enjoyed our stay. Each day we drove into the city and there were plenty of restaurants, churches, and shops to keep you...

Firstly there are two locations connected to il colombaio di Santa Chiara. Firstly, there is the accommodation which is situated close to San Gimiganao which also includes a tasting room. You will need a car to drive from the accommodation to San Gimignano. The second location is situated in San Donato which is absolutely stunning. This is where their Olive...

Spent three nights there and it was lovely. We could walk to San Gimignano (that is, we walked during the day; when we went back after dark we drove and parked just outside the village gate). It was relaxing to go back to San G in the evening when the throngs of tourists left. We loved staying at the Colombaio....

The room was very clean and well preserved with a nice size bathroom. Franca, the lady in charge of the accomodations is so nice and sweet you really feel great. The breakfast was very good with all made at home!

We stayed here on our honeymoon. The room was clean and spacious. The place was a little difficult to find. We never really could figure out if it has an address. I would email Alessio before you leave and get instructions on how to get there. We had a Tom Tom and without an address, it is quite useless. Perhaps...

We had a wonderful time at Il Colombaio di Santa Chiara. We were made most welcome even though the language barrier provided some interesting moments. Alessio arrived next morning and he was very helpful. He even loaned us his computer because ours couldn't connect. Finding the B& B caused some problems but this could be readily solved by following these...

The owners are a sweet older couple who speak only Italian. Nevertheless they did everything they could to make us comfortable and breakfast was homely and satisfying in their dining room. Only their youngest son, Alexio, spoke English and when he had time for us from his multi duties running a successful winery he was a gracious host giving us...

My husband, 9 month old and I stayed and loved every minute of it. They were so friendly and accomodating. We wished we had more time to hang out on the property. We got a tour of the winary, and cellers where they were bottling that day. Woderful family. Highly reccommended from us!
