We have been in Fontemaggio in begin of august with a group of children. We ask for a big room where we can sleep to avoid transport our tents in journey. All the comunication and reception in Fontemaggio were excellent and very helpful. The room have the conditions and size needed to a group up 50 persons. All the park...

This is a delightful campsite with excellent facilities. Beautiful rural location; it was the first time I have had to avoid damaging Bee orchids when pitching my tent. Plenty of shade and nice grassy pitches. It takes about half an hour to walk to the centre of the town. The splendid restaurant is a bonus.

This place was just beautiful. Our 6.5mt camper had no problems here. Nestled high in the hills and surrounded by nature, along with good clean amenities, and a walk down a gorgeous lane down through the hill - you will come to the quaint township of Assisi. If you're looking for swimming pools tennis courts, this is not that type...

We had to use a bit of common sense as our satnav tried to take us through the town, and then a bus had parked by the site entrance which caused us to sail on by. Another site on a terraced hillside, but it was so much more acceptable than the Florence campsite. The people in reception were very pleasant...

It is just beautiful to descend the path towards Assisi from the campsite. The place is quite and clean. Toilets and showers are clean with hot running water. Personnel is kind and you pay for the night, so the day of your departure you can stay until mid-afternoon without a surcharge. A rare gift. Highly reccomended.

For us in a 2-person tent with a car it was the perfect spot for a few nights to explore Assisi, which is a few hundred metres down the path from the site entrance. There is a decent restaurant, a shop selling useful and local goods and delicious pastries & fresh foods and the usual camping facilities block, which is...

A very quiet and relaxed camping ground in the green with clean facilities, but the main attractions are the proximity to Assisi where you can easily walk to.We also found it very pleasant that you are not "kicked out" in front of the main attarction but that one slowly proceeds through town so that the crowds you are finally bound...

Five years ago, I visited Fontemaggio for the first time while backpacking through Europe with my little tent. When I came back this year, I was welcomed like a long-lost friend. It was amazing. The camp site is calm with lots of shade and a beautiful view. Next time I stayed in one of the hotel rooms that are simple...
