Middle being halfway up the hill that comprises Assisi.. It was a nice hotel with a large bathroom and one of the largest showers we saw during our trip. Quiet with an attractive rear exposure of walls and flowering vines. Comfortable bed and air-conditioned.Several nice restaurants nearby. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel and I found the room very essential, but comfortable with all essentials (including AC), and silent. It is a budget hotel and meets expectations of the category. The staff is helpful and friendly. Rooms are reasonably priced.

Top location on a hillside, and It's a very, very nice town. Just what we had hoped for on our vacation tour through Italy! You will NOT regret stopping in Assisi. Clean town, with a lot of impressing buildings. You can sit in outside (bar) for hours and just enjoy the atmosphere. 😉👍

The hotel is located in a quiet area in Assisi, only a couple of meters from San Rufino Cathedral. The standard room was spacious and gives off a monastery-ish vibe. The toilet was modern. Just be careful with the different switches; I don't know why but the switch next to the bed and in the shower would somehow ring the... More

Just got back from a 1 night stay at the San Rufino is Assisi. Overall we were happy with our stay, the location was excellent a short climb to the castle overlooking Assisi, and the main square. Our room over looked a beautiful medieval street though it could be quite loud if you are looking to retire early as there... More

I was tempted to give this a 2 out of 5, but the location and price are good. The hotel is easily accessible by short walk from Piazza Matteotti. The Bad: the woman at reception (and who I interfaced with mostly during my stay) was exceptionally unfriendly. I’ve travelled in Italy a number of times over three decades, and never... More

My family and I recently stayed two nights at the Hotel San Rufino which is located just up a side street from the Cathedral of San Rufino near the top of Assisi. The easiest and most economical way to reach the hotel from the train station is to purchase a bus ticket from the train station's newsstand and take the... More

We have stayed in this hotel regularly and each time enjoy it even more than the last! We go out of season, so it is fairly quiet in Assisi - and I know that the town changes in the high season. The family who own and run this little hotel have two others on the same street. The one at... More

This was my 2nd time to stay in this hotel and the first time as a couple. It is a very nice hotel and is excellent value. We found the receptionists friendly and helpful. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. One minor quibble : the corridor lights are on a timer which extinguishes too quickly. Breakfast... More

I'm sitting in room #1 now as I type this review. With a view of the cathedral bell tower. The room is very clean and close to the center of Assisi. I have stayed here 5 times over the years and have always been pleased.
