A wonderful castle setting in the countryside, great room, great and attentive service from Lucia, Lucia, Leonardo and Paolo. Dinner in the restaurant is a must! We also went horseback riding for 2 hours one day with Gianluca and it was exceptional. Plenty of parking....More
Very central and really good value for money. The third bed was in a separate area, which gave everyone privacy. Clean and with exceptional food selection for breakfast; our special dietary requirements were well catered for.
Very close to the piazza grande, this classic, small hotel proved to be a good choice. We had a nice corner room, overlooking the roofs of Gubbio. Breakfast was very nice (continental). Within easy walk also from the busstation.
Book in here at short notice Room 488 had nice rooftop views both ways £ 89.00 great value compared to UK.
Receptionist recommended good local restauranst for a late meal.

Hi: the hotel is in the centre of town, the layout of very narrow streets is not very car friendly: we hired a Smart car and even that felt like a big car. There is room for about 4 small cars at the front of the hotel but to be fair to other guests this is best used as drop off (saying that, there was one car permenantly there during our visit). The best option is to use the plentiful free parking at the Roman amphitheater which is a 10 minute stroll through town. We decided that the efforts to run the gauntlet of the narrow streets was too traumatic. Gubbio is just wonderful though. Have a great time.

When I stayed in September I could not detect any smoke in the hotel. I did manage to make contact, with a prompt response, by email with the hotel so that might be worth asking. I parked at the Roman Theatre which is free of charge and is about 400 metres away from the Hotel which seemed safe enough to me. The nearby restaurant Officina dei Sapori, which I think is run by the hotel, is very good especially as you get a complimentary glass of sparkling wine, a good quantity of bread and biscotti + when I was there customers of the hotel got a 10% discount if you pick up a business card at the hotel reception. Food was of a high standard, mostly meat dishes, and a sensible price. The coffee surprise dessert is memorable. Wines very good too. The way they decant the bottle of red wine is a unique experience. Hope you have a good trip!
