Dusty old hotel, tread-bear carpets, packets of food for breakfast, dull dark hotel with small rooms. Bit overpriced but its a steep climb up to the main square but so is everywhere in Perugia. Needs major investment cant remember the rating but its review is overdue. Mixed feelings as I love Perugia and Umbria and maybe 40 years ago I would have thought it was all charming and they work that up but plastic flowers dont do it for me. Don't take cards so clearly stuck in the last century.

We had a shock when we went to find our hotel,we had believed it was on the main thoroughfare, yes the hotel sign was. The hotel itself was down long slopes and steps or a milder 170 step entrance. The hotel was lovely and the manager helpful. I am semi disabled and he gave us a room on the reception floor. The room was very clean but the ensuite bathroom a little odd. Ones feet were in the shower if one sat on the lavatory. Breakfast was basic mainly bought in items but adequate. We enjoyed our stay but had to plan to go out in the morning and not go back until night. When we needed a taxi we had to walk down a very steep slope to a road to catch it. Many thanks to the helpful reception staff.

Located in the upper parts of this ancient and beautiful city. Everything is uphill as is the climb to the main square, cathedral and museum. Worth the climb. Booked direct to get €6 breakfast included at €272 (includes local tax) Traditional small hotel in need of some TLC. You might find the threadbare carpet on the stairs and rickety hand rail charming or the cut off ends a hazard. The bedroom furniture is standard and tasteless; bed is fin the tiny bathroom is adequate but the shower is really small! Cheap nasty shampoo sachets. Breakfast is a sad offer. I have never seen so many long life packets on offer in an area of outstanding culinary offers. Would not stay again but the staff offer a handy airport collection service for €25 each way. It’s. 2 star hotel firmly stuck in the last century. So you might find this charming we did not. Manage your expectations and you may like it. Buyer be aware

Great hotel in a beautiful medieval town. It is a very charming little place on a small street right off the main pedestrian area of the old city center. Very warm and clean with a very nice breakfast.

A perfect location to stay while visiting Assisi. Right off the main square tucked away in a quiet side street. A lovely outdoor eating area where we enjoyed a private party. Rooms were very comfortable and quiet.
