Well, I was in this hotel only for one night and breakfast, but in the start the problem was communication: the owner or the person at the reception desk do not or just a little speak English. The room was OK, spacious but somehow old. In the morning we had a breakfast, nothing special, a lot of everything on the...

The hotel is well located for access to access the airport as well walking (uphill) into the old city. It is older with small rooms but quite clean. The AC worked, which was a necessity in the space. We do not recommend the restaurant. It served our purpose well.

Used the hotel as a stopover for the airport, great restaurant in the evening, good food and very attentive, pleasant staff. Room had aircon, hotel has the "old fashioned decor" which was a change from the sterile modern budget places. Little way out of town but free ample parking and very handy to airport.

Very nice and friendly family hotel, however it is around 25 minutes walk from the escalator, I.e. 35-44 minutes from city center. It is also situated on a quite noisy street. So if you want value for money you need to make some sacrifices. Wifi was not working in the room. We were able to get a connection only in...

We didn't stay at the hotel, it was too far from the historical centre of Perugia. However we made the trip to Ristorante Grifone for dinner (a 30 minute downhill walk from the historic centre and a return taxi trip of 12 EUR). Our superficial observations on the hotel were that it looked quite dated, but that the staff /...

The hotel is worn out, tired rooms. The actual walking distance to the city centre is greater than the hotel pretends it to be. It is a 30 minutes walk uphill (along a busy road) before you get to escalators (the old town is on top of the hill, the hotel is in the new town). Breakfast is very basic,...

The hotel is clean, the staff is very kind and pleasantly available with all customers. The building shows all the years it has, even if I think they renewed a part of it. The rooms are clean, standard size: normal size bathroom, just enough room to accomodate the bed and a small but still convenient closet. So, exactly like a...

I was recently attending 2013 Perugia Jazz Festival. I have booked my accommodation at Hotel Grifone based on information picked up from the Internet. This is a family run business with the owners ever present making sure the customers are happy and satisfied with their stay. And it shows in the attitude of the staff that tries constantly to be...

We stayed for 10 days over the Umbria Jazz festival. As others have said, everything was clean, tasteful - and worked. The staff couldn't have been more helfpul. Can't speak for the grub as we didn't sup there. Breakfast was Continental, therefore not ideal for those looking for 'healthy'. The staff's grasp of English is functional but basic, so if...

We stayed 4 nights around NY in this outdated but comfortable and cheap place. Our double room was spotless clean with free wifi,a miniTV,a fridge. We had 4 quite good and cheap dinners there. The continental breakfast was OK for us. Very friendly staff who don't speak English but we managed. Free parking(you really need a car)

“Take the one with windows facing the yard, not the street. The street is very noisy. Not only with cars, but with people as well.”

“My room on the 6th floor was quiet and with a nice view to the city. Try the backside away from the road. Never used the restaurant but I have heard good reviews about it. Ask the front desk anything you need to know. They are knowledgeable and very friendly.”
