I have stayed here while snowmobiling in the area and also while on the motorcycle. Very scenic area, the owners are more than accommodating, beautiful view of the lake and a nice beach, if your in the area any time of year is nice at Sandy Lane

We stayed at Sandy Lane Resort Feb 25-27. This was following the record high temperatures we had and a lot of rain. The toboggan hill was still in good shape but the ice rinks were in rough shape, had the weather been better they would have probably been great too. Cabin was rustic but there was hot water, good pressure...

I have been to Sandy Lane numerous times over the last 15 years. My girlfriends and I use it as a winter weekend retreat, and allow ourselves to be kids again. We have stayed in the cabins, chalets and the alpine and all are clean, welcoming and set up for minimum house duties. The toboggan hill is amazing, the ice...

We went for the weekend at the end of the Christmas holiday and had a great time. Kids loved the toboggan hill. Toboggans are free to borrow. There are 2 outdoor ice rinks that were in great shape. Toboggan hill and ice rinks are lit until 11. They also offer cross-country ski rentals but we didn't do that. Sir Sam's...

We recently took our granddaughter here for 5 day getaway at the end of August/beginning of Sept. She loved it. Clean sandy beach, clear water and water craft to enjoy. Big playground for the kids, and a children's program during the summer. Unfortunately, the week we were here, the children's program only ran on the Mon & Tues as the...

I wasn't sure if I should be disappointed or not with the cabin for the price I'm paying, $219/night for 6 nights. Let me preface by saying that the owner obviously works very hard, I see him running around all the time. The ground are very well maintained. There is playground equipment, volleyball court and there is a motorboat, canoes,...

I came here with my girlfriend in January for a romantic week getaway and we both enjoyed ourselves. They have two skating ponds a few blocks away from our cabin across the office/banquet hall with skate rentals which the owner was nice enough to include in our stay. The skating ponds weren't too smooth to skate on, but it was...

We love Sandy Lane Resort so much, we had our wedding there this past summer. My family and I used to visit one of the cottages there when I was a little girl and when my now-husband and I were scouting out wedding venues north of Toronto, Sandy Lane seemed like the perfect spot. Joachim and Bonnie were SO helpful...

This is a great place for families. The cottages are located in a rectangle around the central play area. I could keep an eye on the kids from the kitchen while making meals. We enjoyed dining on the spacious deck at cabin #7. Very impressed with the sandy beach and the paddle boards, canoes, kayaks and peddle boats that were...

“In the winter, the 4 chalet style cabins have their own outdoor hot-tub. This is a wonderful bonus that shouldn't be overlooked!”
