Excellent location just by the main train station. It was great to be able to leave the luggage at the hotel and pick it up minutes before leaving on the train. With a relatively busy street (with trams) between my room and the station, I was concerned about noise. As it happens the hotel is perfectly soundproofed and I ended...

This hotel deserves to be a 5 star. It is immaculate, tastefully decorated, staff are wonderful, and it is in the perfect location. The free travel pass is an additional bonus. We stayed here as a New Year break and will certainly be returning in the near future.

Every day I looked forward to the delightful breakfast in the antique room, with lots of healthy options like gluten-free bread and 3 different types of butter: organic, biodynamic and sheep's. It's a family-owned hotel and they are there most of the time, and the rest of the staff is very friendly and helpful. I'm keen on many aspects of...

We were very satisfied with staying there. First of all 2 mins away from the train station. (Perfect location! also great access to the airport by bus from there.) The room was comfortable and very clean. Furthermore, the breakfast was awesome. The staffs were also friendly and kind. We would like to stay there again! Definitely we recommend this hotel!

When you enter a very central located GAIA Hotel, you immediately feel the positive energy the hotel staff gives you. You arrive at a tastefully decorated lobby. Art works are everywere. I stayed at 3th floor and did not use the elevator just to admire the beautiful artwork on the stair walls. Rooms are comfortable and provide everything necessary. And...

I choose this hotel because of good TA reviews. The location was fab, right by the bus stop from the airport, tram station 1 minute walk, supermarket next door. You get a tram pass from the hotel, three stops you are in the centre of town, some restaurants close by, which tended to be cheaper than in the centre. The...

If I was to pick between hotel Basel, the Passage, and Gaia; I would select Gaia hotel. I have stayed at a few hotels in this category in Basel and the Gaia is without question my top pick. It is located right next to the train station so you can hop right over without any issues. A few shorts stops...

pleasant stay in clean and very comfortable hotel, good location next to railway station and easy walking distance to Christmas markets which was the purpose of our visit. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Breakfast a good start to the day. Considering how expensive we found Switzerland (poor exchange rate no doubt affected this) this lovely hotel was excellent value for...

We enjoyed our stay at Gaia Hotel very much! The location is very good, just next to the main station but still quiet. You can walk in about 15min to the city centre but there are also plenty of tram connections available – the hotel provided us even with a free pass for public transport during our stay. If you...

It's my first time stayed in this GAIA hotel even I traveled to Basel very often. And this will be my favorite hotel in Basel. The hotel location is very convenience for walking from Basel SBB and it's very close to COOP. The staffs were very friendly and full of smiley service mind. The room was small but fulfilled with...
