I am a frequent business traveller to Basel. St.Gotthard feels like my home place in Basel and I truly mean it. Superb location, friendly staff, great breakfast, etc.. all in all very highly recommended place.

Service, location, breakfast all terrific at this great hotel across from the train station. Front desk is friendly and helpful. Room comfortable and quiet. And the breakfast buffet is far superior to most hotels. Free wifi too. When our AC was broken, three different staff members came up to try to fix it immediately. And succeeded. Great shower too, by...

Excellent Hotel and superb location. Staff very helpful and courteous. Rooms were very comfortable and to a high spec. Breakfast was very good with a good choice of options available. Stayed with my three teenage children and we had a wonderful time. I would thoroughly recommend St Gotthard for anyone planning a trip to Basel.

We arrived early and our room was ready. Reception staff and breakfast staff very attentive. Room good size and very clean. Plenty of English television stations though when on holiday it is not a priority but when travelling for weeks on end makes a good change. Asked for a quiet room and I think we got it but unfortunately people...

Spent two days where I was rather perplexed at how this hotel obtained it's 4th star. The room was very small and unattractive, more of the highway hotel kind, the bathroom without any shelving space (needed to keep all toiletries on the bedroom desk) hardly space to turn about. All is clean and well maintained but then there is so...

I can't say enough nice things about this hotel. Centrally located to the main train station, it was clean, comfortable and efficient. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more friendly, and they were very helpful. Admittedly, one of the highlights was meeting Aramis, the hotel dog. Noble and sweet, he practically demands a Good Morning! Would highly recommend this...

We had a wonderful time at the St. Gotthard Basel. Their motto "Come as a guest, leave as a friend" is absolutely true. Everything about the hotel was top notch. All the staff members from the chamber maids, kitchen help and front desk are courteous, helpful and lovely people. We (family of 5) stayed in the beautiful suite/apartment and we...

We had chosen (family of 4) St Gotthard Hotel in Basel, Switzerland for our 7 night stay in August. We expected that it would be a nice hotel after reading the reviews of other guests and going through the photos, but it really exceeded our expectations! The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was very spacious (65 sq.mtr)...

Everything about my stay this time was excellent, I like especially the comfort of the beds, the room layout and especially you're delicious breakfast buffet. I was disappointed this time however that the mini-bar was not stocked and contained half eaten food from the previous guest, I took a picture and showed it to the reception desk man but there...
