This hostel is located right in the middle of Old Town Bern, with tram stops right out the door and the main shopping street (including supermarkets) right nearby. Positives: comfortable beds & linen, clean, spacious common room/dining area, big lockers in room, well equipped kitchen to cook meals, great laundry facilities (5 franc each for washer/dryer), good wifi. Generally a...

The best thing about Bern Backpackers is that you are in the heart of the Old District with main sights no more than 5 minutes walk away. The hostel is clean and well organised! It was pretty quite most likely because it was winter, I would hope in summer they organise activities to get a more community feel. I would...

Located smack dab in the middle of the old town. Unique Kindlifresserbrunnen (child eating goblin fountain) is basically right outside the hostel. Rooms and bathrooms are clean, nice common area, staff are lovely. The only annoying thing is that reception is not 24 hours.

I had a great experience here until the weekend hit! The last night I stayed here, the bar that is located downstairs blared music so loudly that I didn't sleep the entire night. There is a kitchen area and the location is amazing, but not being able to sleep kind of ruins it for me.

I only spent a night here, and nothing particularly stood out about this hostel. For Bern, it was a good place to stay: fairly near the station, and in a beautiful part of the Bern Old City. I thought the beds weren't very comfortable, and there weren't many powerpoints in the common area / dining room. But otherwise, it was...

This hostel has a great location for seeing the main attractions in Bern. There isnt too much to do so a two day stay would definitely be enough. The rooms are clean and the included sheets are as well but very hot during the summer so you will want to keep the window wide open which can be alittle noisey....

The location is its main advantage. I was sleeping one night and it was fine, happy with the premises. However, one of the roomies was so impolite that started making noises early (even the hairdryer in the room at 7AM!). I can't blame the hostel for it.
