Booking for 29 November 2021 I was booked to travel to Geneva for the WTO Ministerial Conference but I cancelled because (1) Switzerland imposed flight restrictions (2) KLM cancelled my flight and (3) the WTO postponed the Ministerial Conference. I cancelled properly in accordance with hotel policy ie by 18h00 3 days before I was due to check in on 26 November 2021. I received confirmation of cancellation but not a word about my refund. The online help centre is not helpful since it just sends me around reading articles that do not address my query. I have sent an email to the hotel and I am waiting for a reply.

Pro’s: the hotel is on the bus/tram line and Switzerland offers you a free travel pass for the busses and trams for hotel guests when you ask for it at the front desk. You will need it to get to old town and most restaurants. Descent bar, and a grocery store in walking distance. Cons: it is about 10 min bus ride from old town Bern. No in room coffee, tea, or refrigerator. Staff seems to be confused on whether they offer complimentary coffee downstairs. Some say they do but when you go to get it you will be asked to pay for it. Funny on this issue of not having coffee or tea in room alone, we will never stay in another IBIS hotel. Two towels in you room period, no hand towels to wipe your hands on when you wash them. Shower is awkward as well, good water pressure but the shower head turns and twists on its own. Water goes everywhere. Bonus: get the Swiss SBB mobile app to plan your excursions and to find the right tram or bus to get you back to the hotel. You can also book your tickets to Mont Blanc and beyond on the app, versus paying for a tour

we stayed for a conference, hotel was perfectly located. Rooms where, to my opinion, very clean and even when y room was out to the street (5th floor) I couldn't here the traffic. Hotel is good for business trips.

We stayed in the hotel for three nights, breakfast included. The room was very clean, breakfast was good and a lot of food to chose and stuff was really kind. Hotel is close to train station and close to centre. We got free-tickets for public transportation during check-in, it was really helpful. Bus and train stations are all around the hotel. There are also many shops with food (what is much more cheaper than eat in Swiss restaurants). This hotel was the cheapest way where to stay and we really didn't regret it! We can just recommend it!

I stayed at Ibis Geneve Center Nations last week from the 22nd till the 29th of August due to a trip to the UN. I write this review now since I have been waiting for an answer from IBIS GROUP, but nothing. On my last day of the trip the 28th, I went downstairs for a coffee around 10 with my computer inside its case. At 12.30 I went to my room, which had already been cleaned. The room had already been cleaned. I left the laptop inside its case on top of the bed and went to the city for the whole day. I came back around 22.45 to my room. To my surprise, I found my suitcase, which I was under the bed, moved to another place in the room and my laptop case on top of the bed empty. I rushed down to the reception and explained what had happened. His first answer was “I am sure you left the door open!”. I stared at him... We went together to the room, to check the door was working properly (which it did) and check around the room if we could find it. Nothing. We went back to the reception desk and he called the supervisor. At all times, he wasn’t empathic nor kind, which certainly made me feel angrier as I could see there was not a response from the hotel to help me out, all they did was check on a few cupboards if there was something and call their supervisor which on a Saturday night he did not answer. I told them to call the police and right away he stated that they would not answer this late. They kept on telling me to fix it tomorrow, “no worries”. My checkout was on the next morning. After insisting he called the police and they told me to report it on the next day since the closest police station was far from where I was. I asked him to check the cameras but he told me he had no acess.. The only option he offered was to fix it in the morning. Finally, he communicated that if there were any news he will call my room and so will the supervisor do. At 5.40 am, I received an email that my laptop had been turned on. I always leave my laptop on, when it was taken the laptop was turned off as I was not able to track it down on the App nor make it sound. Then at 5.40, it was again turned on. Unaware of this yet, I woke up at 6.30 am and started tracking it. A minute later, the same receptionist called my room saying “please come down, your laptop is ringing”. I was in shock. He said he would reach me if there were any news. I ran downstairs and he gave me the laptop saying “it was your fault, you forgot it at the reception the previous morning”. What?. His way to approach the problem made me doubt all steps I took t but I am sure I went upstairs with the laptop, I would have certainly noticed if I was carrying a suitcase without weight. Moreover, in the case, I have forgotten it at the reception, how is it possible that 20 hours have passed and no one at the reception was aware that a client had lost its computer and no communications were received. What kind of service is that? Moreover, the laptop was turned off and on by someone, I have proof of that, plus the stuff in my room was moved to a different place after the cleaning. What looked like to me is that the receptionist knew something was happening, he spent the night looking at the cameras, and then magically it appeared at 5.40 am and made it look it was all my fault. The receptionist did not indicate his name. He wore glasses, a blue polo, jeans, and was around his 50. I have never encountered a receptionist this arrogant and not willing to put himself in the place of the client. I will certainly never stay again in an Ibis hotel and will make sure that all United Nations colleges will also erase this hotel from their list as if ever they encounter a problem all they will receive is arrogance and an unhelpful hand.
