Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Friendliest desk staff ever! Asked for ideas on places to go and eat and everything was awesome. Hotel is part original and part new, but all rooms were so great, clean and comfortable! Our room looked out to Lake Constance, what a view! They have a great, and VERY busy restaurant. Breakfast was yummy!

Situated centrally just below the Hofkirche Cathedral in the heart of Lucerne, it’s a perfect location for walking in the city. We walked easily one day to see the nearby Lion’s Monument. Our room in the old part was reached by creaky wooden steps. A low wooden ceiling was almost touchable by reaching upward. It was historic, no doubt. Despite... More

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights (Sept10-Sept 14, 2016; #155) this past month and I would like to mention how co-operative and warm people in Switzerland especially this hotel are. Very clean and comfortable, proximal to the lake, great breakfast, friendly staff, special attention to customer needs and satisfaction- needless to say highly recommended. Water and apple provision... More

We had a large 2 twin (aka King) room with an extra sitting area with sleep sofa and 2 sitting chairs with wood floor. Lots of light from the 3 windows overlooking the patio tables, shopping walk, and Hofkircke. From the window in the sitting area you can glimpse the Lake. Room also has small frig filled with items for... More

It was generally ok - the reception was friendly and helpful. I would suggest though not to take a room on the very top floor as the water pressure in the shower is very very weak. On the plus side you do have an amazing view and huge balcony.

The hotel is an older style building and the first impression was a big disorganized. The reception staff was very friendly but the first thing actually was the parking as there is nothing to stop in front of the hotel without either violating rules or parking on a crowded street. The hotel itself looks old and while the rooms were... More

A wonderful hotel, close to the Hofkirche, Lucerne. Excellent location, very friendly and professional staff, you are always greeted with a cordially smile and nothing is spared to make you feel really pampered! Comfortable, clean rooms in a very old and beautiful building, rich breakfast, really good food and fine wines at reasonable prices"

I can't speak highly enough of this hotel. I had a very good sized room on the 4th floor. Staff were all great. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Location is perfect & Lucerne's a lovely town in a beautiful part of the world.

We stayed in the historical part of the hotel in a room that overlooked the square and lake so our view was amazing. The hotel has a fabulous traditional facade that certainly reminds you that you are in Switzerland. There was no lift to the upper floors and navigating two staircases and several corridors with slightly different levels with heavy... More

Ive just returned from a weeks holiday staying in this beautiful tradition hotel in the centre of Lucerne. What a fabulous well run hotel. From checking in to checking out the management couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was special. The breakfast every morning was lovely and the fruit salad was absolutely delicious.
