This hotel is one step above camping. There are zero amenities in the room. I’m not a high maintenance hotel vacationer because I’m in the room just to sleep but this was awful. There’s not even a luggage stand which is needed because there’s no space in the room to open up luggage. I stayed in 5 hotels while in Switzerland and this was by far the worst one.

Although the hotel is situated a bit off from the city center we enjoyed the daily short (20 minutes) walk along the lake shore. The atmosphere and interior of the hotel is like going several decades back in time but it is really lovely, clean and well maintained. We experienced a very friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant offered a decent selection of great meals and wine.

COVID compliant, about a 5 minute drive from centre of town. Modern rooms, friendly staff, and no issue with English. Not really a 4 star hotel in my view. Car parking available, but it was full so we parked at the Casino car park , about a 7 minute walk. Due to COVID, dinner at restaurant was fix price menu. Food was very average, more suited to a school cafeteria. The staff were in a panic, with the Manager running around like a chicken without a head! But friendly all the same. Our room had a nice view across the lake. Modern clean room, no mini bar.

The room was fantastic, clean, spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. Which is very important to me when traveling. The location was perfect for walks along the lake, as well a quick walks to the city center or 1 block from a bus. All convenient for foreign travel. Now, most importantly was Sami Amer who assisted us with anything and everything. HE IS THE HOTEL and should most definitely get a substantial raise. He was most pleasant while working almost the entire day, from breakfast until late night cocktails. He was the porter, bartender, manager of the restaurant and assisted in many other roles. I highly recommend this hotel for all future stays. You will not regret it.

This hotel was one of the best we had on our trip. Sammy, the hotel bar and dining manager was phenomenal. He ran the whole show, the bar, our meals, made sure we had everything we needed and more. He was a unique pleasure and extremely competent as well as friendly and accommodating. His staff of one during dinners and breakfasts, worked tirelessly to insure we were well taken care of. Hats off, dear man.
