There actually is a hope for Grindelwald when it comes to dining. On our fourth day we met a local lady who pointed us to this breath of fresh air in the Alps. Located on the Kleine Scheidegg side of Grindelwald on the way down...More

I don't think the rooms are air conditioned as it is usually quite cold, and you are more likely to require a heater, which they do have. Even in summer, temperatures at night can go down to around 12 degrees, maybe even lower. If you like the cold you could tilt your window open - this is a special function that maintains security of a locked window but allows air to come in. There is also the additional protection of wooden shutters that can also help regulate temperature. I sleep in air condition all the time but never needed it when there at all! It's colder then air oon at night and pleasant through the day.

Ive stayed in the family room ( for 4) as well as couple room. The food is great, the view is great the spa too! Enjoy your stay.
