Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
You get out of Interlaken West station and ahead you see the pricey hotels. Turn left, you head towards the Old town and again there are the more up market hotels. For Hotel Crystal, you turn right! As you walk away from the station, you start to feel a little away from the action and then you come to this unimpressive hotel overlooking a petrol station, the natural thought is "it's three star, don't expect anything special". Once inside the hotel however, you meet the reception staff and everything changes. It didn't matter who we spoke to, the whole team could not have been more helpful. From recommending restaurants to giving directions, they made you feel so welcome. We booked two rooms for three nights and both were very clean, spacious and had excellent bathrooms. The rooms did not have air-con, so were a little warm, though the Wifi was strong. Breakfast was reasonable even if the chef may need a lesson on making scrambled eggs! It turned out to be a great base to explore Interlaken and the surrounding Jungfraujoch.

This was a late minute choice but fortunately there was a room available. Very reasonable price setting in view of the competition. The room was rather standard but with a bed office table and a shower it provides you with the needs of a traveler. My room was close to a main road and in particular in the early morning traffic noise becomes a nuisance. There is no airconditioning breakfast is basic but good. Service is helpful

Six of us stayed for two nights in three rooms and had a comfortable stay. It was hot as there was no air con but we did have a table fan. Breakfast is from 07.30 but you can request it earlier then you have to ask the receptionist to unlock the door to the breakfast room. There was good choice with very tasty croissants - if you prefer espresso style coffee you need to specify otherwise they’ll bring you weak filter coffee. The receptionists were supremely helpful and friendly. It was a very short walk to Interlaken West train station from the hotel and there were regular trains to Interlaken Ost.

the hotel is less than basic and old theu have lame rules when you first get in lile dont spill water on the water and they took 200$ deposit i am not sure what are they afraid of ruining as it has very old furniture, no slippers nothing. its a bad hotel and the breakfast is very limited and lame….. the last day we needed to catch an early train and check out there was nobody at the reception to take back the deposit, it opend 6:30 Am !!!!! we could not leave early as scheduled, will never ever recommend it to anyone

Hotel looks old from the street, but inside it's well maintained if a little dated in decor. Staff is friendly and helpful and provides good service. Tiny elevator suitable for 1 person and luggage. Location is close to the West train station, but across the street from a gas station so not much of a view. No A/C in the rooms, not normally an issue except for the very hot mid-July that we we stayed here. Everything in Interlaken is pricey in peak season, but this hotel is moderately priced by comparison.

The hotel is centrally located in Interlaken, all staff are extremely friendly and competent. We had a very nice room, good breakfast and overall nothing to complain about. Our three big dogs were warmly welcomed and we could take great trips given the convenient location between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz not far from Mönch Eiger and Jungfrau.

The Front Office Staff, was all friendly, polite and very helpful. The room was very nice, clean and spacious. Also I got a Room with a balcony which I appreciated. I booked a double room for single use. The breakfast Service lady was also very nice and she recognized and remembered how I wanted my coffee. Would I book a room here again? The answer is yes definitely !

Human size hotel, very well located, close to Interlaken West station. Reception staff is efficient and the check-in took only a couple of minutes. Room and bath room are clean and big enough. Breakfast buffet is reach, varied and hot drinks are rapidly served. Only bemol is the lack of air conditioner in the room. The fan was not enable to cool the room in the hot summer nights.
