We had a great time in Hotel Baeren. They were helpful by providing lots of fun activities in the local area even during our low season visit. They also happily mailed back a left behind pair of sunglasses which was much appreciated. Would stay again!
A delightful hotel in a delightful town! We had a room with a balcony, which was fantastic and had a beautiful view. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, and the room was very quiet. The breakfast buffet was standard - nothing mind-blowing. However,...More

We booked this hotel based on previous Trip Advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. Very quaint, I think about 15 rooms. Clean, great location. Although it is "below the train station" the location is great, quiet, and close to the center of the village....More

Re half pension or half board at the hotel Baren. The breakfast is continental and cooked self serve. The evening meal is fixed four course silver service and yes it is available seven days a week ie including Sunday. Good value when booking a room to book half pension as the hotel Baren is one of the best restaurants in Wengen. Ps the wine selection is excellent but not cheap.

From the Wengen train station to the Hotel Bären
You will find taxis waiting at the train station in Wengen, otherwise we are only a five minute walk away.
Opposite the train station you will see the Silberhorn hotel, walk past it downhill, past the COOP (supermarket) and through the tunnel under the railway. The road will bring you right to the Hotel Bären. We are in a quiet part of Wengen about 400 m from the train station, downhill on the right hand side of the road.
