We stayed at the IBIS in Chur for 2 nights in May, for a base on the Bernina express route. We arrived by train and the hotel was a 10 min bus ride from the station.
As an IBIS, the hotel is no frills style....More
Location was good for us - about 25 minutes walk from the main train station (Chur HB), or 5-10 minutes walk with luggage from Chur West train station. Its very close to a Spar supermarket, a McDonalds and if you look from the hotel you'll...More

Well it was a distance away from the train. We were able to take a bus there but do wish it had been closer. Is a very modest hotel. A total no frills for sure. Walked about 10 minutes or so to old town and...More
Interesting to look at, you can say that. Uniquely, the entire bottom floor is a McDonalds. Our room had outside deck access, but due to all the construction cranes our view wasn’t great. Irritatingly, we were only given two bath towels and no hand towels;...More

The Ibis wasn't in walking distance of the train. It was the cheapest hotel. It was above the McDonald's. I had friend coming for me and I wanted an easy to find place. You can easily take the bus outside the hotel to and from the train. The bus runs on a schedule. I don't recall the frequency of its route. The bus was about $1.50 one way. The taxi was $10.00 one way. I traveled by myself. I was in walking distance of many places to eat, but not the train station.
