The hotel is quite quirky, with each room having a name and a different decor. There was a bedroom and a separate sitting room. Our room had a nice little balcony that looked out into the courtyard below. The breakfast was lovely. Where else do you have a breakfast "for the seduction of the senses" as the placement declared?

We liked this place a lot. It is not a typical Hotel; it's a friendly place to stay. Staff and owner make a great effort, that the guests feel well. We felt very well there. You can find some complaints on tripadvisor about "Caffe dell'Arte Boutique Rooms". We didn't mind that it's an old house with some really very minor... More

We spent one night at Caffe dell'Arte. This place is really special, has a wonderful ambience and is colored with lovely details. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. Every room is furnished differently with a specific theme. It's located in the the picturesque alleyways of the old town. Shops and restaurants are near by.

Wonderful small boutique hotel with only a handful of rooms. Great location near Piazza Grande in the old town of Locarno. The very warm and friendly staff makes you feel very welcome. Every room is unique and has a completely different style. The rooms have no a/c thus nights can become pretty hot during summertime. Overall a great experience and... More

Great place! Historic building with its very own style. Interior design is mixed with old and modern items, individual flair. Outstandig breakfast, very charming owners and staff!!! We stayed in a big room. View to the narrow alleys of the citta vecchia.

Room was great. Great location. Downsides - no hot water first morning (we got it second morning); we had to take sponge baths to get clean. The host was there when we arrived and asked that we check in the next day. However, she wasn't there when we left for a day trip the next day, and she wasn't there... More

We spent 4 nights in Locarno and could not have asked for a better location and hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, provided us with excellent dining and shopping recommendations. We had a great time and recommend this charming little hotel in the heart of Locarno to anybody.

Very arty, comfortable room in a boutique/cafe. Quietly situated near good restaurants in the old town. A bit of a panic when we arrived and everything was shut (cafe/boutique closed Sunday and Monday) but they soon arrived to check us in. Didn't book breakfast but we had a lovely coffee and biscotti on the house.

It's a combination of shop, cafe and boutique rooms. Good location in the old part of town, about 10 minutes walk from lakefront (you won't easily find it without directions). Lots of nice restaurants in easy walking distance. The owners are friendly, rooms are small but furnished in a fun way, and clean and bright. Reasonable value for Locarno, which... More

“for couples who prefer a bigger room, with a little balcony, you should ask for the room called 'poesia d'amore'. if you prefer a simple small room, because you mostly will spend time outside then the cheaper and smaller room called 'come nelle favole' is sufficient.”
