There are a lot of hotels in Zermatt and many are overpriced; Le Petit is good value. Good location just steps from the main street and 10 min walk to the train station, good breakfast, comfortable rooms and a nice rooftop terrace which is perfect for a drink in the summer. The staff are nice also, unlike some of the...

It is a cozy, family type hotel with nice, friendly staff. Good breakfast in a lovely dinning room. We have every basic thing we need in the room. About 10 to 15 minutes walk from train station and have to go up a bit. Better take taxi if you have big luggage.

The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the train station. Only the last minute is significantly uphill. Part of the way (near the church) is on cobblestones. The last part uphill is on asphalt pavement. Overall the location is excellent - about halfway between the train station and the cable cars and close to restaurants. There is a...

Not a bad place, clean and tidy. The staff where all very nice, we had to get a taxi to the lifts as it was a little to far to walk with ski boots, but a good location for going out on an evening. I was disappointed that the bar closed at 9pm in the hotel!

Spent 4 nights there this past week. It met all our needs: great location, reasonable price, reasonable size room, modern bathroom with great shower, quality mattress. Ski room available for storage. The staff are fantastic and helpful. TVs in the reception and dining area show latest web cam footage from the various spots in the Matterhorn. Highly recommended.

We stayed 2 weeks and had the best time! The room, the breakfast and the staff were fantastic! The breakfast buffet included Birchermuesli, fresh fruit, the freshest breads every morning, yoghurt, Swiss cheeses, eggs etc etc Everything is in short walking distance - from restaurants to ski lifts and shops.

We stayed in Le petit hotel in Sep 2008. You have to walk a little to reach this hotel from the train station but it is worth it. The room was a cosy room and the best part of the room was the view of Matterhorn from the room. We stayed for couple of nights and we enjoyed our stay...

I was the first week of the year with my wife. Hotel is simple but well done and clean. The personnel i very nice and supporting and breakfast very complete. Our room was a bit small for one week staying, but enough. I was one day in bed with fever and it was like a cage ! But at the...

I spent 5 nights here on a recent ski trip. It met all my criteria for an affordable stay in Zermatt. My room had recently been renovated and was very comfortable. My double room was small in size (not room enough for a suitcase to be unpacked) but there is a common drying room so you don't need to keep...
