This was our first time travelling to Switzerland - touring from the southern portion then making our way up to Luzern. Eden Palace au Lac is a great hotel by the lake. The location is about a 10 minute easy walk from the train station. Upon our first arrival at the train station, we had to take a cab to...

I can imagine that this hotel must have been absolutely stunning when it was built, but the main areas are in need of improvement. The carpet is tattered, stained and looks older than the 80's vintage sofa in the lobby. Bathroom fixtures look to also be vintage along with the television.... That being said, it was clean and the view...

Really everything about this place speaks of bygone grandeur - shame they don't give the old girl new carpet which would completely lift the place. Breakfast room is gorgeous and offerings are decent. We were a bit disappointed we didn't have a front on lake review. In room 401 it is a side view but you can see Chateau Chillion...

Loved the views from our room. We had requested for a lake-facing one and were delighted with what we were assigned. The bathroom was luxurious. The balcony was a huge plus! We ordered breakfast in the room so as to enjoy the views from our balcony. The meal was quite good albeit a tad too expensive! Cost us 78chf!! On...

We stayed here for 4 nights this week, having booked through Hotels.com and got a discounted deal which included breakfast. Without this I think it would have been very, very expensive. Disappointed that there was no tea/coffee making facility in the room, and we didn't touch the pricey mini bar. The TV English channel is not worth bothering with and...

This is an expensive place but as it offered a family suite in their villa annexe I was happy to book. On arrival were told we could not book in until 4pm. We could not use the hotels car park and had to pay 30CHF a day to use the multi storey next door. We were not allowed to order...

Perfect location a few metres from the lake and many restaurants and shops. This hotel has very nice rooms facing the lake which are worth the premium and there is free wifi throughout the hotel. The parking can be a problem and the limited hotel parking is charged at CHF 25 per night. The breakfast is good but not great...

I stayed in this hotel from the 11th to the 13th of May 2013. It is my observation that many hotels in Europe have limited staff . The reception was manned by just one person, and he was efficient in checking us in quickly. We were handed the room keys and explained the way to our room. The room was...
