Perfect location near the old town and a beautiful building. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room was simple and clean. My first thought was that the bed would be TOO simple, but I slept perfectly. The restaurant provides a fabulous breakfast and the dinner was superb.

I stayed at this beautiful hotel in May 2022. The hotel itself is beautiful. The interior tastefully decorated and the staff very attentive. I was in a single room which was fine. There was plenty of space for my clothes and a desk to work from. The shower was lovely. The only downsides: you could hear the toilets flushing in other rooms and my bed was particularly uncomfortable. In fairness I should have asked to change rooms which I’m sure the hotel would have facilitated. The price for a single room was slightly on the high side but this is Zug old town and the location of the hotel is very well situated. The station is a 10 mins walk away. Stay there again? Yes, but I would ask to see the room first and try the bed. That’s the only reason I’m rating this hotel 3 as opposed to 5. Had the bed been fine it would have been a 5 without any questions.…

Really enjoyed my brief stay here. The hotel is superbly located and has a great deal of charm. The staff, however, were even more charming! Just felt very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was large and decent value and would come back here for sure

Right in the middle of the old town, this pretty hotel is very nicely decorated with comfy bedrooms. The view from our bedroom was beautiful, right on the Zytturm. The traffic is dense around the hotel but thanks to the double glazing windows it’s fine. Breakfast was very good except for the very basic orange juice.

I stayed five nights for work-related reasons. The hotel is nice and clean, and has cool recently renovated furniture. The room was also nice and the bed very comfortable. The staff was always very friendly. I also enjoyed the good breakfast.

From the point of doing my booking and through out my stay the hotel staff were really helpful and pleasant. The staff talk to you and really make the effort to get to know you. The rooms are functional and very clean. Two options for eating at the friendly bar or the restaurant. The internet is the best I have had in any hotel in my travels. The location is perfect for getting around town or to the station.

over the years i have stayed here a few times already and each time I leave thinking it's not a hotel for me. the rooms whilst big are sparsely fitted and the bed this time around ( two singles pushed together !! ) had a mattress about the thickness of a bourbon biscuit and was as comfortable as sleeping on a bourbon biscuit. No idea why or where that comparison came from.

Dear Mike Finally, I would like to take the chance to reply to your review from more than one month ago. Sorry that it took so long.. I am sorry that you are not happy with our rooms and the beds in particular. The beds are so called "Hüsler Nest beds" which is a special bedding system developed for a healthy and good sleep. This system has thin mattresses, this is true. And we are aware that everyone has his or her special needs when it comes to the mattress of the bed. Next time you are staying with us please mention beforehand that you would like to have a room with a thicker mattress (we have such rooms as well). Hotel was in a nice location, near center of town. Room was basic but very clean and accommodating. Good access to train station, business district and lake. Breakfast was included and provided decent choices and quality.

Very quaint hotel in the old district of Zug. Comfortable rooms, nice breakfast, very friendly staff. Convenient to restaurants and a nice walk around the lake. 10' walk to Zug train station. Have stayed 3 times in the last year and have always had a nice experience.
