This hotel is located about a 20 minute walk from the central train station, is situated on a small plaza, and is adjacent to the lake. It is clean, modern, and highly efficiently operated. The rooms are moderately spacious with comfortable beds and pillows, a small desk for work, and free high speed wireless. There is an excellent coffee machine in the bed rooms and a spacious, modern bathroom.There is a relatively simple but healthy breakfast in the morning (with an option for eggs in addition to a cold buffet). I greatly enjoyed my stay and would definitely visit this hotel again.

Lovely hotel with 5 star staff and service. Restaurant with excellent food and service. Comfortable room with aircon. Really well equipped, slippers, gown, all toiletries, coffee machine, safe etc. . Would def. return. Good breakfast selection and eggs cooked to choice.

I can't sum up how much I love this hotel- the staff are just the most professional, friendly, kind yet retain that family atmosphere which makes this hotel in this very special place so very special. The breakfast eggs and asparagus soup are out of this world, the food in the restaurant is just delicious, the views on the lake are to die for and I feel so happy and at home here - I just love the Lowen.

My friend from London just visited me in early November and she gave the highest rating for our dinner in Hotel Löwen-Zug, especially the day before our unpleasant and noisy dinner in Zeughauskeller Zurich. My friend really likes the friendly and peaceful environment in Löwen-Zug.

Beautiful location on the old town square, with great views. Modern, clean hotel with nice rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast was fantastic, hot food and good selection. Staff were friendly - ask for a 'day card' which gives free local bus trips.

I usually do not write such bad reviews, but I feel entitled. The hotel and restaurant (especially) pretend to be of the highest standards, but it is actually just the opposite. The service is terrible, even antipathic. You will have to be lucky to be served decently. The food and drinks are costly, and the quality is very low (maybe why Lowen?). They beneficiate from the view, but that is actually the only quality and reason why I put one and not zero. That is usually the problem with such hotels; the arrogance never pays in the long term. They have to revisit their standards and teach their employees to always prioritize and serve the clients first (without arrogance) and serve them in a descent manner at least for the price (a minimum we can expect). As long as it remains terrible, I highly recommend to avoid this place.…

The restaurant of the hotel offers great views to the Lake of Zug and to the central place and park. Food is good simple tasty and good for quick lunch or dinner; a lack of ambience is remarkable. Service sometimes slow but attentive. Tasteful dishes, but no Wow effect.

Definitely my favourite place to stay in Zug. Probably been here 10 times over the last couple of years and always felt looked after. The rooms overlooking the lake are excellent and make my business trips that little bit more bearable. This doesn’t feel like a business hotel. Comfy beds, good WiFi and excellent breakfast choices. The staff is very friendly, rooms are nice, mine was overlooking the lake so really great. Breakfast was great as well. I had forgotten an item in the room which they discovered and they organised for the delivery of it in my home country. I definitely recommend this hotel in Zug!

I have lived in Zug for many years, hence it has been a long time since I have had the occasion to stay at a hotel in Zug. We are having some work done on our apartment that necessitated a weekend away, so we stayed overnight at the Löwen. What a nice surprise! Our 4th-floor corner room felt spacious for its snug size typical of Swiss hotels. Very clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was terrific, with hot breakfast made to order. The attendant was very helpful, making a tray to carry back for my wife's preferred in-room breakfast. All in all a very pleasant stay.
