Inspired by the contrasts between banking and the red-light district, between art and capitalism, the designer Werner Aisslinger and his team have created a self-contained microcosm in the direct vicinity of Zurich Central Station: the 25hours Hotel Langstrasse. The legendary Langstrasse is a melting pot of cultures and lifestyles. Regularly changing resident artists work in and on the hotel, ensuring a steady flow of creative input. At the heart of the hotel is the Molcho family’s NENI restaurant with its eclectic brand of eastern Mediterranean cuisine. The Cinchona Bar upholds the tradition of day drinking – with highballs & music and a wide selection of fortified wines. 170 rooms • Mini-bar • Safe • UE Boom Bluetooth speaker • Free WiFi throughout the building • Free MINI rental • Free Schindelhauer bikes • NENI Restaurant • Cinchona Bar • 1 function room • Pawn shop • Audio Tape Lounge • Gambling & Business corner • Jogging corner • Sauna & gym • Kein&Aber kiosk •

Stayed for 2 nights en route home from a tour of Italy. Never been to Zurich before and when we return it most definitely won’t be to this place. What can I say in an attempt to be objective? It’s very trendy and the staff seem nice. Would that do? No, because that doesn’t even scratch the surface of the underlying issues. It’s in a good location, some 15 minute walk from the station, a flat, mainly pedestrian route. It’s far far closer to the sex shops and clusters of people hanging around on street corners in Brauerstrasse and around - fine during the day but hey, maybe the gritty underbelly and being propositioned by hookers is your thing in the evening. The hotel bedrooms are lovely - quirky and designedly, with a truly great shower, and with a free minibar consisting a couple of beers, a weird coke and 2 bottles of water. Nice touch. There’s a helpful step down from the sleeping area into the bathroom area so it makes for fun in the middle of the night when you go to the loo. Housekeeping don’t work on Saturdays. Something to do with the environment or something - great. Nobody explained that to us, we were fortunate enough to overhear reception telling another guest in front of us. Thankfully we don’t expect any service when we pay for hotels, just are humbly pleased for the opportunity to stay there. The beds are the hardest beds we’ve ever slept on and the single pillow each are scrawny and uncomfortable. Again, I assume we should be grateful. The bar and - particularly the restaurant ‘Neni’ are ruinously expensive, even for Switzerland. €10 for a bottle of sparkling water - not a branded bottle, a refilled one - and put on the bill as 2 bottles. When queried it was cheerfully declared that it was not 2 bottles, but it was for 2 people. e.g €5 EACH for water. This policy is presumably something to do with the environment - the healthy environment of the owner’s wallet perhaps? Highballs / G&T all around the €15 mark and again Frankly the all night party guests sharing their joy and excitement loudly in the corridors, the discomfort of the bedroom, the extortion, and the location make this a resounding no from us and when we come back to Zurich we will find somewhere that epitomises hospitality.

Not sure how to adjust the aircon. Seems like it stays the same no matter how we adjust it. And shower drainage might need some improvement. Spacious room. Amenities including shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, liquid hand soap etc. Location is close to everything. Friendly reception staff.

Very well located hotel, walking distance from the main train station, helping to get to anyplace very quickly. Hotel decoration is alternative, very different and trendy compared with other Swiss hotels. Rooms very bien, odd to the Swiss typical hotel. Friendly staff. Great restaurant

Second time staying at the hotel and it was fab!! All staff the members were great and really friendly. I took the hotel car out for the day to explore the amazing Swiss mountains and lakes through a scenic drive. Food at Neni restaurant was real tasty and maintained the same standards as the first time I ate there Kudos!! Looking forward to revisiting for a third time. Thank you to the team at 25hours Langstrasse!

Loved our stay and so happy we chose this hotel. After extensive research we booked a superior room at 25hours for 6 nights and it was a perfectly sized room, huge shower, but comfortable bed for 2 people and all the amenities that we needed. Despite the other reviews about the AC- it was cold and very comfortable,so we had no issues. Big bonus points: good sized mini bar stocked with free (!) products. We always like to have a mini fridge for some fruit and water when traveling and this was a perfect space for that. The free water, beer, soda, chips and chocolate inside the mini bar was a welcome surprise. Not only that but they will refill it for free too-just ask! The coffee and tea maker inside the room is very convenient. The room had lots of little details that we have not seen in other hotels. You could use their Polaroid for pictures, just huh the film downstairs! The 7th floor has a sauna, gym and a gorgeous view to the train tracks. There are many good restaurants nearby and nice coffee shops, plus the train station is a short walk away. The staff was nice and helpful. They don’t clean the room unless you request it at the front desk in an effort to protect the environment. Great initiative but maybe would have preferred if we could place a sign outside the door to request a service (not sure if that’s an option). We simply forget to ask before heading out for adventures! Overall loved the stay and will return if we come back to Zurich!

Great Stay. Clean and Friendly Staff. Rooms quite spacious and worth its Value for a Zurich Hotel. Bar & Restaurant food is great and Drinks too. Location is within walking distance to the Bridge, a food hall and workspace which can come in handy. Amongst the friendly staff were Mustapha, Cyril & Noah. the rest was perfect as well but unfortunately could not remember all names. The place to be in Zurich.

There's plenty to like about this hotel, quirky décor and my large room was spacious. I didn't mind that the room overlooked the train lines as the sound insulation was good. The bed was comfortable enough, although nothing out of the world. A few downsides, the main one being that toilet cubicle smelled. A concrete floor may look nice, but is probably not practical for a toilet. All in all the drainage was poor, with the sink not draining properly and a bit of a smell from the shower too. The other thing I didn't like was the lack of AC or temperature control, making it stuffy and hot. However the room was clean, and there is a complimentary mini bar with drinks (water, beer, cola) and snacks. No room service breakfast option. Location is okay, walking distance to the train station and the centre of town.

Always great to stay at the 25hrs Langstrasse. The vibe is very relaxed, easy going and all works. Nice room with great views, bright and sunny with amazing soundproofing. Amenities including shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, liquid hand soap etc. are all there. Location is close to everything. Friendly & very helpful staff with a shining reception staff Xena. Breakfast was great as ever, only thing I missed was the ‘homemade jams’ as before. Highly recommend!

This hotel has (with windows shut) quiet, spacious rooms with excellent breakfast and a good restaurant with Mediterranean kitchen. Climate control and other facilities work well and without fuss, service is friendly and efficient. Furnishing and design are somewhat austere and bed could be a bit softer.

We unfortunately only stayed a night here, this hotel is very close to the train station and it was really comfortable to reach. We had a huge room with great amenities. The staff were friendly and effective at check in/out. It was extremely clean. We felt the area was safe and the decor was really nice.
