From check-in to checkout I could not fault this hotel - fantastic staff, the room was the most comfortable in a hotel every, proper light switch's, not complicated, excellent block out blinds, heavenly bed, and a large TV with plenty for English channels - walk in shower that worked. Very cool restaurant and lounge with a small but well equipped gym. Perfect position with a big Co Op across the street and a short walk to the train station. Pay no attention to the review about the staff, they were fantastic, I even found the housekeeping staff most helpful.
Acasa is good, except for no working room thermostat. My group of 10, had five rooms. All five rooms were uniformly warm but the wall thermostat only controls the fan speed. All five rooms had to open the top window to cool off the room. The bottom windows had the handles removed, so they could not be opened. Those windows would have been opened too if there was a handle. All 10 of us got to hear Zurich emergency services doing their job at night. Plus the curtains had to be open to cool off the uncomfortably warm room. The warm room temperature was uncomfortable.
Quiet, but close to the airport and city. Good fitness facility, friendly staff, nice garden restaurant. I appreciated the privacy booths in the lobby area which meant I didn’t have to work from my hotel room the whole day.
Attila Csendes maybe the previous review was not very clear to you. You have a staff that's been very aggressive towards customers staying at the hotel. It's not something I've ever experienced before. And just to be absolutely clear, the dog peed outside the hotel which claims to be dog friendly and in fact you charges extra for it. I wonder how busy you've been over the last couple of years. It seems you've conveniently chosen to ignore the bad reviews about staff behaviour. Which seems to be a recurring theme here.
We got off the the taxi and my dog peed on the side of the building entrance. There was a man standing by the entrance, had no idea who he was. he started shouting straight away. I didn’t expect someone talking to me like this. “of course I would love to have time to take me dog further to do her business, unfortunately it already happened ” I told him. But instead of stopping the conversation this man became verbally aggressive and started harassing me. He literally was shouting! I asked him who is he and why does he think it’s appropriate to scream at the customers. he didn’t want to say at first who he is, then said that he is a night manager, Domenic. Then he started intimidating and asking what is our room number. I had to lock my room , cause it became really scary. next morning we complained about his behaviour to manager Jasmine, which told absolutely nothing except that he works here 2 years. And I felt like it’s a valid reason to work more then 2 years to shout and be aggressive at people, is it? I got very upset and it absolutely ruined the experience of staying there. I hope you can provide your staff with some training on how to manage their anger and address issues. Best Irene…
I had a great time staying here for a couple of evenings. The rooms were super clean and came with a convenient kitchenette for breakfast, complete with cooking equipment. One of the best parts about the hotel is its proximity to the train station, which gets you into the main train station in 5 minutes and the airport in 10.
I stayed in Acasa suites for a week by myself. I was working remote and the suite was perfect. I had an office table I could work at (with USB ports) and a kitchen I could make lunch at and the bathroom was *chefs kiss* - great waterfall shower and a full length mirror. Only thing I would improve would be turning down the heating (but the windows open so you can cook the room yourself).
Very convenient to get to from Zurich Airport. We arrived late and just wanted to overnight before collecting the car. Everything went very smoothly, room was in a perfect state, staff all very friendly and efficient,
Both the location and the suite itself are lovely. We were upgraded for booking direct with the hotel, which is always nice. The hotel is very trendy and modern, with lots of nice touches. It is located a very easy walk from the Oerlikon station and an even shorter walk to a larger supermarket. There are also a number of great restaurants nearby just south of the Oerlikon station. The current breakfast structure was a bit inefficient due to Covid, and we were left sending food as they did not read the paper that is filled out by 9pm the night prior. There is also a nice sauna, but only if you can get one of the 4 or 5 reservations available each day.
I stayed at this lovely hotel for 2 nights in August due to a flight cancellation. What could have been a nightmare turned into two great days in Zurich. The hotel has a brilliant location and is very well designed, modern and spotlessly clean. The staff were super friendly also (not always the case in Switzerland). I was very lucky with the weather, so was able to eat breakfast outside in their beautiful garden, so peaceful. I would very happily return!
