First of all the positives. The room was really good and breakfast was excellent. It was really nice to have freshly cooked scrambled eggs and pastries. The first negative though is the area. I've stayed in red light districts of cities before so thought it would be fine but the constant shouting at you by the workers gets tedious. It feels like everyone in the area is connected to the business sadly. As a result I decided to eat and drink elsewhere. The other annoyance is a need for a Swiss Converter. I've stayed in Bern, Basel and Geneva and found my standard UK to European adapter works fine but this hotel seems to have a unique Swiss plug. I had to give a deposit of 10 Swiss Francs in order to charge my phone etc. This must be an issue for the majority of guests so I don't know why the hotel couldn't invest in installing the standard European plug socket instead or as well. For these reasons I doubt I would stay again.

The hotel was good, nothing special but just as advertised. The staff was really friendly and helpful and I salute the hotel for hiring these guys who truly did their best to give all guest a great experience. On the downside though, this hotel is situated in a very rough neighborhood. Prostitutes, dealers, druggies are everywhere and one really needs to be careful here. For female and lone travelers, this is simply a no-no.

Terrible, I just arrived at the hotel to spend a night, with 2 more friends... arriving at the hotel the receptionist was rude, he said he had no rooms available. He put me and my friends out, said I couldn't wait for the taxi at reception, pushed my friend out the stairs. I have video and photos of everything.

Nice hotel decor, room was clean, had enough space for everyone, bathroom shower was good and the beds were comfortable. Located close enough to central Zurich, walking distance from Paradeplatz and the lake - ideal for a short stay in the city.

We were in the Trip Inn Zurich Hotel for one night at the end of July, 4th floor. It was 34 degrees outside and 38 degrees inside our room, the A/C was not working and the receptionnist didn’t change our room. We didn’t sleep at all that night because the room was like an oven. The receptionnist told us to send an email to the manager in order to do something for this trouble. We never got any reply to our email. Not professional at all !
