The Hotel Glockenhof radiates customer care. The staff is helpful and pleasant. The hotel offers an option I have never seen: Connecting rooms. One with a king bed for parents. The second for children with bunk beds, childrens' toys and tables, pint sized bathrobes and bathtoys. The price? Not much more than the price of a single king. I would urge anyone traveling with children to stay there. And its a 5 minute walk from the central train station and across the street from a fabulous vegetarian restaurant. And breakfast is included with the room! I recommend the hotel without qualification. Read less

The hotel is at the center of Zurich and is near to the Airport (about 20 minutes). Everything is a walking distance from it: train station, grocery store (coop), shopping mall and Zurich Down Town. Staff are very friendly, rooms are spacious enough and the Wi-Fi speed is good. The breakfast was fairly good with some varieties. They can make you eggs as per your request. There is a nice coffee shop next to the reception. They allow food delivery and allow them to come to your room (after getting permission from you). Beds are comfy and rooms are clean.

Excellent location. Large rooms. friendly and helpful staff. We stayed at the special family room and the kids loved it. Breakfast could have been a bit better - there should be a bigger selection. Specifically, more fresh vegetables.

Convenient to the train station. The hotel had our room ready and allowed us to check in very early, which was an unexpected and very welcome courtesy after 10 hours of flights. We had booked a special offering which included an upgraded room with dinner and breakfast. The catch was that the dinner offering was from a very limited menu and rather disappointing. Breakfast was good with limited hot items and excellent pastries. The front desk was courteous. Our room had a small balcony. You need to open the windows to get any air which can cause the room to be noisy during the day.

I stayed twice, both three night stays, in August. The staff was always willing to provide the services I needed. They arranged train tickets and suggested the best routes. Flippo provided first a blanket and then a heater for my room when this Hawaiʻi girl could not get warm enough. The Nespresso machine in the room was a treat that was generously refilled. Breakfast was everything you could want and dinners in the garden were delicious. Iwould stay there again if I were in Zurich. Oh, itʻs location was perfect for walking to the train or the river or the lake.

We managed to get a half-price deal through the ‘Hotel Card’ system, and we’re delighted we did … this is a superb hotel: - Easy to arrive by train (<10 mins from station, or even easier, take the tram… it’s a 1 minute step-free walk from tram stop to hotel) - Amazing location (everything either within walking distance, or easy tram ride) - Good air-con (as it was 35 Celsius outside!) - Fab breakfast (especially sitting outside) - the range wasn’t huge - quality over quantity - Comfortable room (we had a larger one to accommodate a child bed) - Friendly staff Can’t fault, we’ll definitely stay here again (so long as the price doesn’t go too silly).

Finally found a hotel in Zurich you can call home. Right off Bahnofstrasse Very well located hotel..Trams 2 mns away. Staff very helpful&courteous Rooms are comfortable&spacious Breakfast was excellent with varieties of food. Restaurant was also v.good. Will stay here again happily.

Wonderful hotel, much better than expected. Great location, good price-quality ratio (according to swiss standards), huge room, very comfortable and nice. Very good service, very nice breakfast. Nothing bad to say at all. (we walked from the train station with luggage at a late hour - and it was really OK). When we'll be in Zurich again - we will definitely return.

Nice hotel. My favorite thing was the location and walkability to lots of restaurants, shops, train station, and even the lake. The hotel was very quiet. The hotel is one block off the main shopping road which is perfect. This hotel also had air conditioning which was important for us Americans😎

We stayed at the last minute in December, after our flight back to Heathrow was cancelled due to bad weather in London. We had to arrange somewhere to stay overnight (family of 4, 2 young children) and, after Googling like crazy to find somewhere we stumbled across this gem! They were perfectly accommodating- we booked and then turned up 5 minutes later! They let us in to our lovely modern room and turned it round into a family room in a friendly manner. It’s a central location, the breakfast buffet was great, staff friendly, modern rooms - so modern than there was music speakers in the bathroom and the walls of the bathroom were glass! The toilet walls were frosted though 😉! The area was fab and we made the most of our extra night by heading out into Zurich and visiting the Xmas markets and walking the area and river which is beautiful. If I were to return to this area I would happily stay here again.…
