Fantastic service, super well located- kids room was a success. We arrived and the receptionist mentioned he had available a family room with a kids area, which was wonderful- kids loved it. Convenient to the train station. The hotel had our room ready and allowed us to check in very early, which was an unexpected and very welcome courtesy after 10 hours of flights. We had booked a special offering which included an upgraded room with dinner and breakfast. The catch was that the dinner offering was from a very limited menu and rather disappointing. Breakfast was good with limited hot items and excellent pastries. The front desk was courteous. Our room had a small balcony. You need to open the windows to get any air which can cause the room to be noisy during the day.

We stayed at the Glockenhof for 2 days in May 2022 during our summer trip to Switzerland. The hotel is very conveniently located and we could reach the hotel from the train station quite easily. The staff at the reception were very approachable and the check in and check out process was very smooth.
I had booked their Family room with play area which I found only on their website and it was perfect for our family of 4. The room is basically two connecting rooms with one room for customised for kids. The rooms are modern and comfortable and the kids room was very well thought through with a triple bunk bed, tent, toys and boardgames to keep the kids engaged. The bathroom in the children's room were also very child friendly with bath toys.
The hotel has a Coop right across the road which pretty much has everything you would need. The hotel has a nice garden and a small business centre area that you use should you need to take a print. You could get around the key areas of interest rather easily too.
The breakfast experience though was so-so. The spread left us wanting and they were short on staff and our eggs to order and coffee were missed and we had to remind them more than once.
But that's just nit picking in what was otherwise a very good stay in central Zurich.

This summer we have visited 8 different cities in Europe and therefore we have stayed in different hotels, you can review my other reviews. In this case the hotel is very well located less than a kilometer from the train center and walking to the main attractions of the city. This hotel was very special for our family of four (ages 5 and 6 kids). We booked the family room which is two connecting rooms, and the kids’ room was incredibly special with every possible touch for them. - books, games, a reading tent, stuffed animals, and a kids table and chairs. My boys did not want to leave their room, and loved having some independence. The concierge also recommended family-friendly, reasonable restaurants that we really enjoyed as well as helping us find an appropriate place to swim. The location is perfect, and the breakfast was lovely. All the staff were so kind to our family, and we thought the beds/environment were very comfortable! We would definitely recommend this to friends and will stay here again!

We stayed at the last minute in December, after our flight back to Heathrow was cancelled due to bad weather in London. We had to arrange somewhere to stay overnight (family of 4, 2 young children) and, after Googling like crazy to find somewhere we stumbled across this gem!
They were perfectly accommodating- we booked and then turned up 5 minutes later! They let us in to our lovely modern room and turned it round into a family room in a friendly manner.
It’s a central location, the breakfast buffet was great, staff friendly, modern rooms - so modern than there was music speakers in the bathroom and the walls of the bathroom were glass! The toilet walls were frosted though 😉!
The area was fab and we made the most of our extra night by heading out into Zurich and visiting the Xmas markets and walking the area and river which is beautiful.
If I were to return to this area I would happily stay here again.

If you need (or want) to stay in the heart of Zurich, the Glockenhof hotel is a marvelous opportunity. The location of the hotel is just near the main road of the city center, walking distance from Zurich old city. The room was well equipped, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast is very good (considering European measures). Recommended with full heart.

The hotel is at the center of Zurich and is near to the Airport (about 20 minutes). Everything is a walking distance from it: train station, grocery store (coop), shopping mall and Zurich Down Town. Staff are very friendly, rooms are spacious enough and the Wi-Fi speed is good. The breakfast was fairly good with some varieties. They can make you eggs as per your request. There is a nice coffee shop next to the reception. They allow food delivery and allow them to come to your room (after getting permission from you). Beds are comfy and rooms are clean.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Glockenhof. The convenient location was perfect for exploring Zurich and also provided us with easy access to the motorway. We arrived by car and the staff were extremely helpful at parking the car for us for a nominal fee (it definitely was a lot less expensive than the parking garage across from the hotel).
Breakfast was superb. Yes, it may just be a continental breakfast (with the normal fare of bacon, eggs, and potatoes) but the choices were of top quality, delicious and freshly prepared.
Our room was a bit small for a family of three but it was quiet and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like about it were the bathroom doors, which were made of completely transparent glass! There was not an iota of privacy whatsoever.
What made our stay really pleasant though were the staff. They were very helpful, accommodating and friendly. We'll definitely return on our next trip to Zurich.

There are some things we liked and didn’t like about this hotel. It is very well located, only minutes walk to Bahnhofstrasse and the old town and only 10 mins walk to the train station. The hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly. There are some oddities about this hotel as well. Our room was on the 5th floor. It had a sloping roof which made 1/4 of the room unusable and required the chairs to be placed oddly in the centre of the room facing the door, however they still could not be sat on without bumping your head on the sloping roof. The bathrobes provided, although appreciated, were old and scratchy. So old in fact that the previous branding of “Best Western” was still on them. We asked for extra pillows 1 afternoon, and they were delivery quickly which was appreciated, but with no pillow cases, which was odd and unhygienic. We went to enjoy the Garden Bar/Restaurant one afternoon, it was advertised as being open, however after 15 mins of waiting with no waiter showing up we left. The hotel request checkout by midday however advises that check out at 2 pm is available at no charge and asks that we advise reception if doing so, however when we advised we would be checking out at 2 pm we were told we could not and needed to check out earlier. Finally, no bid deal, but the hotel decor lacks direction. It’s a mix of Art Deco, Mid-Century and Modem. It looks as if each room had a completely different designer with no overall design aesthetic

I can recommend taking the tram from the airport. It stops right outside both the hotel and airport.
The AC is fine, you can adjust the temperatuur. We visited the hotel in July and it was 30 degrees outside but our room was fine
Not sure, was about 40 CHF. It is better to ask the hotel as they have arranged it.
