The hotel is in a good location, very pleasant and very very clean. But on top of all the personnel there is very professional, they are very nice, they answer every question with great detail, direct you to wherever you wish to go, and do not give up until they are sure everything is completely understood. This was a very... More

Quiet, clean and polite. Comfortable surroundings and friendly staff, and all at a very competitive price. This is a small hotel but that's what makes it so endearing contrasted to those facsimiled mega-hotels. With the Engimatt you know you are somewhere else. I shall return.

The exterior is uninviting and doesn't improve inside... Desperately in need of a full remodel. There rooms are tiny and old fashioned. Only one towel which was as thin as a dishcloth. I'm here because it is close to my office but if I come back I will be staying somewhere else even if it adds time onto the journey

Our long weekend break couldn't have been more enjoyable, thanks to the smooth running and courteous, kind and professional staff at the Engimatt. All the staff without exception were extremely helpful, kind and polite. As orthodox Jews out religious requirements were accommodated with no fuss and a genuine desire to ensure that our stay at the hotel was as enjoyable... More

The hotel is close to my office so I book it more or less every time I travel to Zurich. It's conveniently located near Sihl river, large shopping center and is 20min walk from downtown. I usually request rooms on 1st and 2nd floor, because bathtubs on 3rd are cramped (slanted roof is eating vertical space). Breakfast is nice -... More

My visit was disappointing. It started with a long wait at reception before I could check in, and I was underwhelmed by the room I had - small bathroom, minute desk and little space to move around. On the positive side, the restaurant, which I only saw for breakfast is spacey, with the opportunity to enjoy outside seating.

This hotel has many positives however when we arrived we went down the corridor to our room (3rd floor) and I have never seen anything like it. There were holes in the ceiling with wires hanging down and planks of wood (waiting to be put around doors). I went down stairs to complain and ask if it was even safe.... More

My husband and I just returned from spending a week at the Engimatt. We had a Comfort Triple Room that we shared with our daughter. The room was spotlessly clean, large, and light, with several large windows that opened onto quiet Engimattstrasse. Our daughter's bed was in a separate area off the main room. The hotel staff were extremely helpful... More

A bit more expensive corresponding to higher service level. Friendly staff, clean rooms, good bed, wifi working on 3rd floor (signal weaker with higher floors). Restaurant a bit expensive. Slower re-filling of morning buffer. Parking space limited when hotel fully booked. Great option to eat inside or in the garden. All floors accessible by elevator.

Staff is rude and unhelpful. You arrive at the hotel and no one helps with luggage even though the reception is one floor up and you have to climb stairs to get there. We were given a room with twin beds even though my wife and I had booked a double bed, as always. Staff insisted we had booked twin... More
