The rooms were smaller than what we're usually used to, but then - Europe I guess!! The rooms were super clean, as were the bathrooms - everything was well maintained. We had a slightly bigger room since we were travelling with kids - complete with a tiny pantry. Really comfortable!! The hotel itself is very conveniently located, a tram station literally at the doorstep providing excellent connectivity. For budget travelers who want something classy all the same, an excellent choice!

Comfortable, clean, large room, best courtesy and perfect breakfast, 10 minutes from downtown. Price absolutely in line with Zurich. Strongly suggested. Meeting rooms available, and a fantastic restaurant downstairs

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Pros of the hotel - - Rooms (including bathrooms) are very well appointed, modern and spacious. The house keeping was immaculate - Service. We we’re checked in by Ms Gut. She was so warm and welcoming and provided excellent induction to the hotels facilities and suggestions for our time in Zurich. - Location. Only a few trams stops from the main station, and about 20 minutes walk from this same station, transport and the city centre were extremely easily accessible. - Hotel restaurant, really good food, ambience and service. We have no cons! I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Zurich. Was one of the best hotels for our 3 week trip through Europe.

The room was great, spacious, you get everything you would need on your short trip or holiday! There was even an umbrella in the room, so that you can use it in case of rain. The location of the hotel is also convenient, quiet area.

We stayed at Hotel Krone Unterstrass for two nights. From our check in experience until we checked out we found the staff very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very clean and although a little noisy because it faced the street and had a tram stop outside, it was not overbearing. It was within easy access to the main station (three tram stops) made easier by the fact that trams stopped right outside the hotel. Breakfasts were very good and, again, staff was always ready to help. We also had evening meals in the restaurant and were impressed with both the rang and quality of meals. Again, staff was great. We can (and do) recommend this hotel.

I visited this hotel with my family in early June,2019. The hotel seemed to be nice and large from the outside with a business kind of lobby. However, the room ac was not functioning and could not be repaired also. The menu of the hotel was extremely limited in its variety and we had to look outside late at night for dinner. The breakfast menu was also disappointing to say the least. All in all not a nice experience and would best be avoided and there are plenty of other options in Zurich

Dear guest "Greetings from Hotel Krone Unterstrass" We are sorry to hear that issues occured during your stay with the AC. As much as possible we always try to fix things as soon as we can. We are sorry if we did not manage to do so in your case. Regards to your comment about our restaurant, I do want to highlight that we provide more than 100 cold and warm products on our buffet with a weekly change of variety. On top of that you can have your coffee, tee, juices, milk and water on free flow. For this american buffet we charge CHF 19,- and if you are aware of Zurich prices - this is a very good value for money. Our restaurant is very well known in Zurich and I am truly sorry but I cannot confirm your comment on our menu choice. Please do have a closer look and you will realize that the given options are actually a very well selected culinary choice. If you are looking for a Pizza or fast food place - I agree we are the wrong place. Please do understand that we appreciate authentic customer feedback however in your case we cannot agree. We enjoyed our stay at Krone. We arrived 7am and we were both exhausted from our long flight from Australia. Krone’s friendly receptionist was very sympathetic and managed to let us check in by 9.30am. The room was clean and efficiently designed. It was quiet but it was only 20 mins walk or 3 tram stops to the centre. The housekeeping staff was very helpful and efficient. A highly recommended hotel in Zurich!

I booked this hotel through a British Airways package and found the rate to be reasonable for Zurich. The hotel location was away from the busier area of town, and just a short tram ride away from the train station. Check in was quick, informative and welcoming. Upon entering our hotel room, during the record breaking heatwave in Switzerland, it was uncomfortably hot. The blinds were open and the air conditioning was off, allowing the room to be filled with sunshine and the extreme heat of it. We turned on the air conditioning and also asked the front desk staff if there might be a fan available. In no time, the polite young front desk clerk brought up a large oscillating fan. We were most appreciative of her efforts to please! Closing all the blinds and getting cool air…

About 10 mins from the Sentral Tram station...Tram no 14 should take you there within 6 mins about 4 stops...Decent sized rooms...equipped with an ac thankfully. Very helpful and friendly staff...Breakfast option was also good...not a big range but a decent one...A small shop around the corner helps you to get water or refreshments at a very cheap price...over all a good place...Charged 15 Francs for 2 nights for 3 adults as city taxes...Uber to the city centre would cost approx 7 francs

The room was quite big and the bathroom had a window. The shower curtain was freshly washed. The breakfast was very good. We were glad to get a parking place behind the hotel. You can reach the city with the tram in a few minutes.
