I wanted to post in the restaurant but didn’t find it . The view from the outdoor restaurant is great, relaxing and great . But for $14 CHF eggs and expensive drinks they should be okay to have a little of freedom. The manager or the captain came to ask me to Get my leg down from a patio chair . I just was putting it like I show in the pic to protect my satchel from all the people pass by the alley and don’t want to risk for some one to take it .. I would have thought to stay in this hotel for its location but after this ridiculous action, nothing more for my next trip of 2024 to Switzerland

The Storchen is a wonderful hotel, located in central Zürich near all of the major sites. The staff is welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is remarkable. We will definitely be back. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable.

My family of 10 (we had 5 rooms) visited hotel Storchen in June 2023. Proper to the visit, I emailed with the concierge several times and am blown away by the service provided. The concierge helped me plan all of my activities and was able to reserve transportation for us months prior to our arrival. We took the train from Paris to Zurich and walked to the hotel from the train station (easy walk). Check-in was super efficient and simple. We received some drink coupons so we headed to the rooftop bar for cocktails and lunch. Everything was amazing. The food was delicious, the drinks were cold, and the service was friendly and quick. Breakfast was included as I booked through amex. I LOVED their breakfast. They had a continental buffet (including self-serve mimosas) and a menu to order hot items from. Everything was delicious and it was a great start to our day every day. I would definitely stay here again!…

Beautiful hotel situated on the banks of the Limmat and within easy walking distance, through the Old Town, of both Niederdorf and Bhanhofstrasse. Great bars and restaurants with excellent views. All staff polite, friendly and extremely helpful.

The hotel had been consistently courteous and loyal to me. It has standards of service, cleanliness and helpfulness that are exemplary. It also good value in today’s terms and I am always happy to recommend to third parties. My only mild gripe is that the restaurant dinner menu had been curtailed and that is a shame. The Storchen restaurant represented in the past traditional Zurich hospitality and that is not the same with a more “ modern” style menu offering

For a special family trip I would absolutely stay at Hotel Storchen again. The location is spectacular and the views of the river and surrounding architecture can’t be beat. The service was excellent and the rooms and decor, impeccable. We traveled with adult children and friends. It was very nice. Enjoyed the rooftop bar, the along the river dining and the kind staff. Meals were all outstanding.

The hotel was perfectly situated and well appointed. The staff was extremely friendly and very service oriented. The rooms were comfortable and our view overlooking the river and lake was well worth the splurge. The "Nest" on the rooftop offered fantastic views and was a fun way to relax after walking around the charming and winding streets of old town.
