My son and I stayed 10 nights. Generally a good experience. Great location, only a block from a tram stop, and ~3 blocks from main train station. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. The room is cramped for two people. Room was delightfully quiet – great soundproofing from the hall, neighbors, and outdoors. (The aparthotel is on the backside of the building, facing a very quiet residential street.) Internet/Wi-Fi works well. The thermostat is confusing – the room was always too hot, even if we turned off the thermostat, so we had to leave the windows open. We used the laundry machine – though there is only one washer, one dryer, so guests might have to queue, and they are pricy (CHF 5 per wash, CHF 5 per dry). Room was clean and everything was new. So new, in fact, that some things are missing: there are no towel racks for bathtowels; no coat hook for coats; no dishtowels for the kitchen; the bedside power outlets did not work. Room has limited storage space (small closet, no dresser drawers). One small table for dining or working; two chairs. Hallway signage needs to be improved to ease navigation from the lobby to the elevator and back. We did not try the breakfast or bar.

As Limitless member of ACCOR, we stayed at the Aparthotel Adagio Zurich City Center for four nights in one of their apartment rooms. Hotel staff were warm welcoming and attentive. Athanasios and Maria were particularly approachable, helpful and informative. They were accommodating and provided us with benefits including basement parking, breakfast and afternoon tea/coffee at the bar which made our stay very comfortable and memorable. The apartment is very new and contemporary with kitchen cooker, microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker, dishwasher and huge fridge. Sofa bed can be converted to extra bed in the living room. The hotel bar/common area is beautiful with illusion theme and it has different settings to suit holiday or business travelers. Suggestion: full height mirror inside the room, hangers/hooks inside the shower room and toilet.

The Aparthotel Adagio just opened. We found the common area very pleasant. Our room was clean. We stayed one night and had no trouble, although we didn't really use the amenities of the room. Would book again based on the cost and proximity to the main station and city center.

I just checked in for a three-night stay last evening. And I’m compelled to write this review on the first morning of my stay to give a heads up to whoever might be intending to book this hotel (given how there aren’t any reviews on TripAdvisor yet). The hotel is new; apparently opened only a few months back. The rooms, however, don’t feel new. There are already apparent signs of wear and tear. But because those are cosmetic flaws, I’m happy letting them slide. What, however, is more disappointing, is how the rooms lacks even the most fundamental of functions (I wouldn’t even venture as far as to use the word “amenities”). There are no hooks or hangers in the bathroom, which means absolutely nowhere to hang your towels or clothes when you’re taking a shower. Also, the only power point in the bathroom does not work - so we couldn’t use our electric shavers in the bathroom. There’s a little closet in the room with a bar that looks like it’s meant for hanging clothes. But alas, there were no hangers provided at all. Hair dryer was provided, but wasn’t working (we had to go swap for a functional one at the reception). A number of other hazards in the room. There’s a little kitchenette with a dishwasher door that refuses to close. It juts out uncomfortably, and I’ve hit my hip against its corners at least twice while using the sink. Worst of all is a bedside lamp with sharp edges placed directly above the bedhead (!!!), and on which I’ve hit my head really hard twice already when getting in and out of bed! I’m writing this review AFTER I headed down to reception with feedback on all of the above lapses. But all the receptionist had to say was that the hotel was new, and some things aren’t yet working. Not sure how that is acceptable or reasonable by any stretch of the imagination: if the property isn’t ready to receive guests, don’t open. We’re not asking for posh amenities or luxuries; we just want a safe and functional room. If you’re reading this, please DO NOT BOOK this property until they can get their act together.
