From outside, the hotel looks alright but does not seem to be something special. Inside it is very cosy. I had a nice room on the fourth floor. I had everything I needed. Breakfast buffet es very good and the area is trendy, close to the lake and within walking distance to the city.
Hotel Seegarten is located in a quiet, beautiful, Zurich neighborhood. It is only a few steps away from the picturesque Lake Zurich, and short walks to the opera, Zurich's largest Christmas Market, and the Historic Old Town. We were only in Zurich for two nights before heading back home. We packed a lot into our time in Zurich, and we were grateful for Hotel Seegarten's great location. We agree with all previous reviews that spoke so highly of the hotel staff. They were so helpful with directions, recommendations, dinner reservations, and procuring a taxi to transport our party to the airport. The provided Breakfast was also a great start to our day. The only negative was the very small size of both the room and bathroom. Though clean and attractive, there was no place for toiletries or a dresser for clothes. Of course this in no way diminished the enjoyment of staying at the Seegarten Hotel, and our time in Zurich. …
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Check-in was in the afternoon, but we arrived in the late morning after an overnight flight. Room wasn't quite ready so they offered us coffees and wifi in the breakfast area. Room was ready within 30 minutes. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They were very friendly, professional and willing to help and provide information and directions. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. They have a very nice breakfast in the morning which for us was included in the price. The hotel is close to Trams and trains and several COOP markets. Its a short walk to the opera house and the old town area. I saw at least one review about a language issue with some staff for English only speakers. I did not find this to be the case (we were able to communicate in English with all of the staff). We very much enjoyed our stay.…
This is a charming hotel in a quiet area. Our room was spacious and clean. The included breakfast was excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We greatly appreciated their advice regarding where to catch the train to the airport. This made our departure so easy and stress-free. Highly recommend!
Lovely little hotel with incredibly helpful staff. A short (10 mins) walk to the main area of Zurich, but only a minute from the lake. Also convenient to The station to take the train to the airport-you can even buy your tickets from the hotel. Parking at Utoquai parking was convenient-2-3minute walk if you have or hire a car. The room was compact but comfortable, with heating and a fan for use in the room if needed-we slept with the balcony door open. Breakfast was great-a variety of continental breakfast options. Taking a swim at Bad Utoquai was so refreshing after a long flight. Would stay here again if we return to Zurich.
This is a very pleasant small hotel in an excellent location near the Lake of Zurich and the Zurich Opera House. The staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. Rooms are practical, nicely decorated and well isolated from any outside street noise. In addition, a good breakfast is provided in the restaurant on the ground floor level.
We spent a first night in Zurich at the very fine and affordable hotel, close to the city center and the lake. The rooms are clean and nice. The staff even better, offering great services. My sincere recommendations.
Very friendly, helpful and efficient team - spacious comfortable room - situation ideal: just outside the centre, close to the lake - room well isolated from outside noise - good coffee at breakfast - the restaurant Latino is of top quality. The hotel has tickets for the nearby bathing establishment on the Zürichsee: pleasant swimming in the lake, met by inquisitive swans. We liked most the friendliness of the hotel team.
Slept here for two nights at the end of February. The staff is very nice, however not everyone speaks English. A mixture of German & French got me a long way. Room was great for a solo traveler, it wasn't noisy and the bed and bathroom were clean & tidy. The hotel is near tram & busstop, as well as the Opera House. In the evening you can stroll along the waterfront and a park closeby. If you're staying for just a few nights, the hotel is an affordable option not too far from the city centre.
This is a lovely little hotel in a perfect location for sightseeing and very close to the lakeside. The staff are very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. This hotel is not new but absolutely spotlessly clean and had all we could wish for. The rooms are light and airy with large windows that can be opened. Although our room had no air conditioning there was a very modern efficient and quiet fan which I preferred to any noisy air conditioning. The Italian restaurant that belongs to the hotel is excellent too. We will definitely stay in this hotel again!
