I have visited Zurich with my newborn and my partner. We e-mailed the hotel Limmatblick to understand if they could provide a bed for a 4 months old. They said yes and looking at the pics it seemed quite good. Yesterday night we got there. The reality was completely different form the pics. The bed for the baby was full of food leftover, in the bathroom there were ants. I even took pictures and showed to the reception (a loud night bar on the ground floor) asking for at least a discount but obviously I didn’t get anything. They told me they could wash the bedsheets at 9 pm when my baby was already sleeping. A really terrible experience! We left the hotel at 3 o’clock with a newborn baby and travel home for hours 🤦♀️
I had a booking in this hotel in March when we arrived we found the hotel closed we thought they left us anyway to check in but we tried to contact them for more than 3 hours standing with our luggage in front of the hotel until they sent us a message to look for another hotel as they have short of staff and the one on duty had an emergency. This is very unprofessional never again will I book this hotel
This hotel is located on the edge of old town, close to the train station and to trams. The hotel is adjoined to a bar/cafe called Dada's and is inspired by the Dada art movement. Each of the hotel rooms has a different artist's work showing. The room and bathroom was clean, but a little too warm for us. The breakfast though was delicious - yummy cheeses, meets, juice, crusty bread and croissants. We could walk to most places we wanted to see from the hotel.
I had reserved and confirmed this hotel 1 week ago with Booking.com and arriving there today at 6 pm they told me that for an internal problem my reservation was not registered. There was another girl in the reception who had the same problem. We were both astonished and after a while the receptionist told us that we could be hosted in another hotel in the town periphery and more expensive. It was the first time that this happened in my life! I think this hotel is managed by very unprofessional people! Be careful with this place!!!
This hotel is conveniently located within 5 minutes walking distance from the central train station in Zurich. The entrance is through a bar as it doesn’t have a designated lobby. The person at the bar does the check in. The person who checked us in, never had a smile on his face and was very rude when questioned about the non functioning of air conditioning inside one of the rooms. I had booked 2 rooms for my family of 4. The rooms were quiet, very well furnished and had all the modern amenities one needs. Beds are comfortable. Air conditioning did not work in one of the rooms and when the hotel staff was notified of the same, he tried to fix it but just couldn’t. I had to ask that person to provide me with a table fan, which he did. Included breakfast is reasonable. The breakfast server was courteous. Checkout was supposed to start at 6:30 in the morning. But the checkout person stated that elevator will not function until 7 AM. After explaining the situation of check out at 6:30 AM and showing confirmation of same, elevator was made functional, so that we could get our luggage down comfortably and not struggle getting the luggage down the stairs on our own. There is no service at this hotel including elevator service between 11 PM and 6:30 AM. So if anyone has an early flight to catch, you are likely to miss it. My recommendation to fellow travelers looking to stay in Zurich is to look for another hotel in the same area as opposed to staying here. …
The location of Hotel Limmatblick was nice--close enough to walk to the Central Station and also the other main areas of Zurich. I didn't feel like it was especially clean, but the front staff was exceptional, and we were able to check in super-early. The beds were also the most comfortable that I slept in while travelling (4 different hotels). Still, the room feels old and unexceptional. Maybe I am missing the boutique, dada-vibe? Fine to stay here, but the price we paid was a bit high for what we got. The breakfast was very nice though, and the service for that was great.
This hotel is in a perfect location, right on the river, 5 mins walk to the main train station and a stroll to the old town and shopping areas. Not only that, the rooms are clean and a number of them with great views onto the river. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and there is a excellent bar on the ground level overlooking the river. Zurich is expensive for hotels and while this one isn’t cheap, it is excellent value compared to others at the same price.
We have spent only two night here and everything met our needs. It took us 5 minutes to walk from main train station to the Hotel. The room was clean and quiet. The only thing that wasn't working was the TV. No stations were available. Breakfast was good and staff friendly. Definitely a value for money.
This is not a review of the hotel as we unfortunatly have had our booking cancelled. We follow the Diamond League and choose to visit Zurich for the finals. We booked this hotel on the 25th February (through Booking.com) and of yesterday all was well. We received an email from Booking.com on the 26th Sept @ 22.00 saying your Hotel could no longer fulfil the booking. Can you tell me how a booking which Booking.com say you accepted 0n the 28th February can no longer be fulfilled? I await you reply and will find it interesting as to how you think its acceptable to cancel a booking so late . By the way as we have had to rebook hotels we are now having to pay a further £100 so thanks for that also.
Very clean and new hotel. The location is good . Stuff is very helpful. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom is clean. Surprise by the breakfast (simple but practical). Strongly recommended for holiday and business stay
