We had a great stay here for 4 nights. It’s in the old town surrounded by shops and restaurants. The room is clean and the balcony is great to people-watch along Niederdorf after a day out walking around. And the Chuchi restaurant is a must-try for their excellent cheese fondue. Be sure to make a reservation for dinner though.
Charm charm charm, this hotel is charming! Right in the heart of Zurich, within walking distance to everything, but no need to walk far since the best fondue restaurant is right in the hotel! The staff was super kind and arranged a ride to the airport without issue. They gave us a couple free glasses of Prosecco and put flowers on the bed for me and my wife... what a great place, would 100% stay here again. Thank you!!!
The staff, rooms and experience was better than we could have expected. The staff is so friendly and very accommodating to anything you need. The rooms are very spacious, as well as comfortable as if you are at your own home. If your looking for a hotel that is comfortable yet allows you to immerse yourself in the swiss culture, this it it. We had the pleasure of interacting with the staff member Luci, who helped us with anything for our stay as well as with directions to certain things we wanted to see. Luci quickly became apart of our trip, that we will never forget. You get your money's worth and not to mention the breakfast is phenomenal and has options for everyone.
I chose this hotel based on the location in old town and on the trip advisor reviews. Beautiful, cozy decor and of course spotless room, which is my number one priority. We were in a junior suite as our son was joining us for the night. Ideally equipped, wonderful soap, shower, lighting etc. Water, juice and soft drinks included in the price were a bonus . Ramona who checked us in was exceptional… warm and welcoming as well as super efficient. Everyone we had contact with at this very well run hotel made our stay extremely enjoyable. I also would like to compliment and thank the people who answered all my questions by email prior to our stay - they were excellent and very helpful!
I was lodged at Hotel Adler Zurich for four non-consecutive nights in October 2021 as part of a larger trip to Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The high ranking of the hotel on TripAdvisor and the location of the hotel in the central part of Zurich were the main reasons for me selecting this lodging. Making a reservation was a simple and straightforward process. Using the hotel's official website, I selected my preferred room type (Double Standard with Breakfast) and dates of stay. After entering the details of my credit card to secure my reservation, I was immediately e-mailed a reservation voucher, which I eventually printed and brought with me when I departed for Zurich. When I arrived at Zurich Hauptbahnhof by train from Bern, a walk from this railway station to the hotel took about ten minutes. At the hotel, the check-in process with the receptionist, during which I received my room key card and a gift of a large bar of chocolate (for booking directly with the hotel), was fast and efficient. The bedroom of my room (#102, and then #402 during my second stay) featured a queen-size bed with two large pillows and sheets and comforter of excellent quality. Two nightstands with lamps, a work desk with chair, a padded chair, an open storage area with security safe, and a flat screen television with satellite were also present. In-suite amenities included air conditioning, strong wi-fi, a mini-fridge with complimentary water and soft drinks, and a coffee maker with various coffee and tea supplies. The bathroom featured a bathtub with a hand wand shower head, ample hot water, and large and clean towels and washcloths. Amenities in the bathroom included a small selection of toiletries, a hair dryer, and a makeup mirror. European (round-prong) power outlets were located in the bathroom and bedroom. In the mornings, breakfast (included in my rate) was buffet-style and consisted of eggs (scrambled and hard-boiled), various sliced meats and cheeses, various flavors of yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries, breads and spreads, dry cereals, juice, tea, and coffee. The breakfast was filling and the service was excellent each morning during my stay. As mentioned in the first paragraph of this review, the location of the hotel in the central part of Zurich was one of the main reasons for me choosing Hotel Adler Zurich for my time in the city. All of the major tourist attractions, as well as currency exchange and numerous restaurants, were very easy walks from the hotel. For four non-consecutive nights at Hotel Adler Zurich, I paid a total of 681.50 Swiss francs. Upon completion of my stay, the walk back to Zurich Hauptbahnhof from the hotel took just a few minutes, with a subsequent journey by train from the station to Sargans costing 41 Swiss francs and taking a little less than one hour. For a future trip to Zurich, I would have no problem selecting Hotel Adler Zurich again for my lodging, and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying in Zurich for business, leisure, or tourism.…
