This hostel is very far from the city. takes 30 mins to get there from city. there is no kitchen so you have to buy their food. you have to make your own bed. check out very early at 10am. Overall this is very well run hostel and very clean. it includes breakfast. I dont think it's worth the steep...

One of the nicest hostels I've been in - even better than some hotels. The hostel was super clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast great. They served several different coffees, toasts, cereals etc.

This was my second stay at one of the Swiss Youth Hostels (first stay was at the Basel Hostel-see separate review). The Zurich Youth Hostel seemed to be a well organized business. I booked both of my reservation through their corporate offices. This reservation was booked under a fall special rate of 3 nights for 99CHF, which was a great...

Definitely one of the nicer hotels I've been in (and more expensive). Clean, modern, spacious, lots of amenities. The only downside is it's location. The staff are absolutely great--Robin and Jenny in particular were very helpful.

A friend and I stayed there for a night, it is quite far out from the centre of Zurich and it took a 15 minute tram journey to get there. It has nice facilities, toilets and showers were very clean and nice. Our room was okay but the mattress protectors were a bit scratchy and felt like towels. The dinner...

I, along with with my wife and children, stayed at the hostel during 13-16 Aug. 16. Based on my limited exposure of staying in the hi hostels, perhaps this is one of the best, if not the best. The downside - it is too expensive to be hostel. It is well connected both with tram and bus and it takes...

Location is good in terms of environment but you won't find much in the surrounding area. Staffs were helpful. The rooms are fine except the facilities are minimum. There is wifi only in the lobby which is not even very strong everywhere. It is kind of disappointing that you have to replace your bed and pillow cover by yourself when...

It has nice facilities but overall is very overpriced and they charge for everything like a wounded bull. If you want to eat cheaply (noodle cups etc) go down the road to the supermarket, they also charge almost triple the price for beer compared to the supermarket. To wash and dry clothes costs 10 francs and you must also provide...

Paying 50 franc a night for a hostel should not be a thing, but it is Switzerland. For the price, you'll only get wifi in the lobby and not in the rooms, there is no kitchen, you'll have to make your own bed (not a big deal at all, but for the price...), and you won't be walking distance from...

The place kind of looks like a pink factory in the middle of a neighborhood. We visited as a family with jet lag so maybe I was groggy. We had a private family room with an attached water closet. The beds were ok with some kind of strange big fluffy pillows, but that seems to be the standard pillow in...
