They say you get what you pay for. This hotel definitely fits the bill, from the initial door greetings, the staffs presentation, the quality of room decor, the linen, the minibar content and the meals (1 Michelin star) it’s all 5 ⭐️ The lake view is Devine, the room windows are double glazed for silence and it’s only a short walk to the old town for restaurants and shopping. We did have one issue with a shower that flooded the bathroom, but the hotel was so attentive and graciously changed our room. It was a perfect hotel to conclude our Swiss getaway.
The hotel is magnificent in all aspects, staff, service and accommodations, I highly recommend to travelers looking for a world class experience. The dining experience was exceptional, and the after-dinner bar and cigar lounge made the evening!
Beautifully located property with the perfect Team tops the place. Thankful to the entire team to make our start & end of our holiday so beautiful and cheerful. Special thanks to Max Vetter(Front Office) for an early check-in with the best advises to visit the nearby places . He made everything so perfect makes us miss the place even more. Keep up the great work Team. Definitely coming back to you guys soon.
We know the La Reserve brand for many years at their pioneering Geneva property. This hotel is on the shores of the Lake of Zurich near the Opera House … an outstanding location. The Rooftop Bar which we visited yesterday has a great vibe, excellent service and wonderful views across the lake. The hotel itself was beautifully updated a few years ago and must be among the very best in Zurich. Our only surprise when we visited the hotel at 6pm was to find some very loud music being played on the ground floor by the entrance … like entering a night club. A little bit less volume would create a much more “La Reserve type atmosphere” for this five star property.
Beautiful sophisticated hotel right across from an accessible bathing pool on the lake in a beautiful part of Zurich. We were very impressed with the hotel and the staff were lovely and very welcoming. Just a 10 minute walk along the lake and there are swimming pools, waterslides and a park with great amenities. Very close to restaurants. Great location and a brilliant hotel for families and couples.
This hotel is beautiful and in a great location, right across the street from the lake activities, within walking distance to the historic sights, shopping and great restaurants. Try and get a room with a lake view and terrace on the first floor.
Don’t let the reviews fool you. La Reserve in Zurich is a world away from other hotels of Reybier’s we’ve stayed. Unfortunately, not in a good way, in any sense if the word. If you’d like to stay with trash with new cash, mediocre middle class service, and subpar food— be our guest and step here. If you appreciate refinement, a respectable kitchen/dining program, dignified and classy staff/service as is the norm of other hotels expected in this range, I recommend you investigate Living Circle’s several hotels in Zurich, Dolder, Bauer au Lac, or other options. We were horrified and quite surprised at the **clientele**, **staff**, maintenance, and subpar food/beverage program. Zurich has so much to offer. Don’t make the mistake of being fooled by reviews by Condé Nast and other otherwise relatively reliable sources, or by Reybier’s other, more refined/enjoyable establishments. The experience felt like what one might expect from a €100-200/night tourist hotel. This was the trashiest establishment we’ve stayed at, over all our travels. Horrified.…
Definitely a 5* hotel. Staff was exceptionally friendly beginning to end. We had a lake view room on the 1st floor with a large terrace. My only real gripe here is that being close to a busy road meant we didn’t really want to spend much/any time on the terrace due to the noise. That said the rooms were very well sound-proofed and I only heard a few ambulances on the first night. Biggest highlight for me was being directly across the street from the Bad Utoquai. They have entrance passes, locks and swim bags ready to go so having a dip in the lake is as easy as trotting down to the pool. Food/drink: Rooftop bar is lovely, but when it’s busy it’s hard to get a drink. The ground floor restaurant is solid, but staff need a bit more training (including the apparent manager). The food was good, but there are so many great restaurants in Zürich I wouldn’t recommend this one above many others we went to. Room was very well appointed. Bed was comfortable, AC was effective at cutting the afternoon heat, and housekeeping was on point. Only drawbacks were that shower door leaked (less of an issue once we figured out how to adjust the shower head and water pressure) and there wasn’t any space to leave toiletries on the vanity. (All of this points to a bigger issue of form over function, but I can still appreciate the design of the space overall.) Our room came with breakfast included. We had room service everyday and the eggs Benedict and pastries were spot on. The croissants and strawberry jam were my personal favorite. I also loved that the non-alcoholic minibar drinks were free and full sized! They also had plastic bottles at the door you could request before leaving. I’m torn about staying here again - I would definitely put it high on the list. It was really lovely and the access to the lake were awesome. There’s not much around it after 6pm - most of the heart of the city is elsewhere so if you want direct access to the best restaurants or nightlife or feeling of what Zürich is like for locals this might not be the best bet. That said the concierge had fabulous restaurant recommendations and got us lovely table at the amazing Bauernschänke on short notice. Would highly recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway or quiet refuge from the hustle and bustle.…
stayed here for a few nights in may of 2022. had a high floor facing the lake. the view, the room, the sunset all spectacular. high end and worth every franc. dj at the entry to set the tone. feels boutique and luxury all at once. great location and will stay there again!
The hotel is in wonderful set up just in front the lake . We had a room with a view to the lake and a quiet big balcony .The room is very nicely designed and the products in the minibar is of top quality . The food at the hotel restaurant was also great and the service at the restaurant very good and professional. Congrats to the restaurant staff. The only thing that was not good was that we faced trouble at around eleven o clock pm and we didn’t get warm water . When I talked with the reception they quote that the maintenance would come back in the morning which for a five star hotel is not normal. I really hope that the management has taken steps towards accommodating problems like that during the night.
