Location is superb close to the city center. Everything at walking distance but parking in the same building at 35 euro per night. Rooms not too big but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Price on the high side.

Rooms very small, strange plastic floor covering, and "tired" towels. Receptionist Sabine was lovely and most helpful. Breakfast was OK. Locatin was great for walking to see the city and very close to main train station. Biggest disappointment was the smell of smoke that came through the ventilation system into the bathroom. The bathroom and towels smelled of smoke within...

It's clean and serviceable, the room was a bit small, great shower - hot gushing water, towels weren't too scratchy. Breakfast was basic, horrible coffee - never had worse.Good location, close to shops, restaurants and train station. If you're after a no-frills hotel this is for you

The hotel is close to Zurich HBF and in the center of the popular old town called Zurich Town Hall. Many restaurants and bars within walking distance. The room was a single room [#3] and is really a single room, but with toilet, shower and desk. The breakfast was included in the price and was more then enough. Free wifi...

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel. We chose it because of its location - near the old town and the train station. However, because of its location, it can be quite noisy at night. The room and amenities were basic. The receptionist in the morning shift was very pleasant and helpful but I can't exactly say the same thing...

I had a last minute reservation over the phone. As I arrived, everything was ready, checking in took 2 minutes. The room is modern, functional and clean, there are enough toiletries and there are enough power sockets. I liked it.

I have traditionally booked a similar hotel not far from Basilea. It was a great positive experience! Great front-desk service at all times. Breakfast was most satisfactory (my only advice would be starting it half an hour earlier), and the room comfy and efficient. Its location is great! In the warm heart of the city, next to restaurants, bars, shops,...

Zurich is a very expensive hotel city. If you want location, you will pay for it. Basilea is a remarkably good location, less than a 10 minute walk from the train station and right amidst the old town. The hotel itself has been around for many years, and has been well renovated.
