Modern, exquisite, and centrally located. Modern, because the hotel has seen extensive renovations that have made it resplendent with bright interiors and tasteful design. Exquisite, because luxury should offer an oasis of well-being for every guest, without having to be expensive. Centrally located, because it is within eyeshot of the magnificent Zürich Hauptbahnhof (Zürich Main Station) building, which is emblematic of travel. It is easy to start feeling the pangs of wanderlust, but each of our 56 modern-chic rooms, spread out over five floors, is so inviting that guests just wouldn’t want to leave. Our motto is short and simple: great hospitality and affordable luxury. Hotel Felix is located in Zurich's old town, within walking distance of the main railway station and the Bahnhofstrasse. The old town enchants visitors with numerous bars, cafés, and restaurants, and fascinating galleries and boutiques. Just a stone’s throw away is the Limmat river, where you can go refresh yourself on hot days. We are located in the beating heart of the city. After an eventful day in the vibrant metropolis, allow us to welcome you to our bright and spacious lobby, where you can lean back and take a breather. We don’t need to have big rooms, because luxury can be experienced even in a small room. But we make sure that everything is in the right place, and that you have a perfect experience with what matters most: Sleeping, freshening up, and exploring the beautiful city on the Limmat. Hotel Felix gets its name from the legend of Felix and Regula, two saints who were martyred during the Diocletianic Persecution of Christians in the early Middle Ages. Since our hotel is located near the art museum, our lobby also boasts of a portrait of Felix and Regula, specially made for us by the artist and former art forger Wolfgang Beltracchi.

This hotel was very comfortable, clean and conveniently located. We were there for only 1 night in transit from Zurich to France, but would have been happy to stay longer. It was a short walk from the train station and close to many restaurants. The room was very quiet, as it was located off the main streets. Some people have commented on the glass-walled shower that you can see through from the bedroom, but there is a curtain you can close for complete privacy. The shower was roomy, as a result of being glassed in, rather than having a full wall. We liked that the bathroom was very contemporary and clean.

The attic suite is stunning - you access through a private lift entrance, have your own terrace, kitchenette and stunning bath area. The only issue is in the summer, even with air conditioning, the room can get a bit warm which made sleeping difficult. We were told by the hotel that air con temperature by law can only be 6 degrees below the outside temperature. In a top floor large attic room the warmth is amplified. Check in is 3pm. Check out 12. Location of hotel is excellent in the old town. 5 minutes walk from main station and 15 from the lake.

Hotel Felix is modern and has good vibes. Small room but very clean and a bright, happy feel. My disappointment was that I was not informed that the room has no A/C. I was also assisted by a trainee and her trainer when I checked in. But I was patient no matter how tired I was. It was very hot in zurich when I arrived on July 13. The manager was not accomodating and informed me that the category of my room reserved thru BOOKING.com does not offer A/C ( I paid almost €200 per night). For another €30, he can offer A/C room. He also assured me that it will cool off in the evening. He was wrong! It was so hot and uncomfortable I did not sleep at all. The next day I complained and wanted to check out. But the front desk staff, Satskia, was the sweetest and most helpful staff. She offered to change my room with A/C. She really went out of her way to assist me. This is what I realized: their A/C does not cool the room like a true airconditioning unit. It only blows cool enough air. I know because I checked out and booked another 4 nights in Zurich at a different boutique hotel. I right away got a room with A/C, a much larger room that includes breakfast every morning. There are bigger problems in the world than complain about the inconvenience of my stay!

Everything was cleaned and organised, good breakfast and friendly staff. The location was perfect, just a few minutes walk from the train station. The room could be a little less warm, the air conditioning didn't work properly, but despite that I really recommend the hotel. Good value for money.

Booked there for one night on April 17, on booking, but was extremely disappointed to learn they were overbooked for that weekend and that they had decided to move me to another hotel without asking me or giving me other choice. They claimed that they sent a message informing me, which unfortunately was not true: I checked all my messages and they indeed sent me two different emails, however they were checking in emails... in the two hotels! no other explanation at all, no mention of overbooking... So... at the end I was sent to a different hotel, on a different location, with a different style of rooms... disappointing since I chose Felix, not the other hotel, which I had seen but had excluded from my choices... In addition, when I got to the replacement hotel, there were other tourists in the same situation. Really disappointing.

Tricky one! Why only an average rating? Let me explain: Business trip with 4 nights in early April booked and pre-paid on hotel website. Excellent location only 10 mins on foot from station with loads of nice restaurants and bars nearby. Surprisingly quiet room on 3rd floor out the back. Rooms well-appointed, stylish and reasonably sized with good bed. Breakfast buffet good but not amazing (more about this later). Good value for money. Pre-booked breakfast arrangement with 20% reduction together with room only to find out during check-in that buffet only opened at 7 and I needed to leave for meetings before. Receptionist explained that could be refunded if I did not use it. Ended up having breakfast once. On check-out asked about refund to be told that I was a "no show" and no willingness to refund anything. I get (and share) the argument about wasted food and cost, and would have been more than happy and able to comply. This specific issue will probably not affect most of you. But - together some other similar comments about other organisational issues - indicates that the hotel has room for improvement in this area as well as taking responsibility for its actions. I will be looking to test alternatives when otherwise this would have become a regular. Still worth trying, but be beware.

Lovely hotel! Amazing location for people who love to walk around. Centrally located so everything was like 15 mins walk. Tons of restaurants and take out spots as well as coffee places. Great view from room, room 401 has a great view of the city plus some awesome distant mountains. I booked a single room but it was really spacious, modern touches but cool mid century vibes as well. They only gave me one pillow so maybe as for another if you’re staying alone. Overall, this hotel is a hidden gem!

Fantastic little hotel in Old Town Zurich. Well located to both the main train station (Zurich HB) and tram station (Central), river, shopping precincts and restaurants. Recently renovated with beautiful modern fresh interiors. Rooms very comfortable (great bed, bathroom and amenities) however not all rooms have A/C so it can’t get hot at night (but there is a tower fan in the room which helps). Would definitely stay here again when visiting Zurich.

We are pleased you had a nice stay at our hotel in the Old Town of Zurich. Its location is indeed ideal for a city trip. I booked this hotel for the first time visiting Zürich and I made such a great decision it turns out that their old sister hotel is closing and they re-opened at this location. The hotel is brand new and it is evident from the room that they put a lot of effort into it. The rooms are modern and stylish and the location cannot get better right in the middle of the old town close to all the trams and all the action. The room rates also are very interesting compared to the overly expensive Zürich I highly recommend this hotel The front desk especially Jasmin Is extremely kind and welcoming with perfect English. It is well worth the price paid and the rooms are extremely well done. I doubt you’ll find something better than this at this price. One thing I would recommend is that the breakfast is a little expensive for 25 Swiss francs Therefore I’m not sure I would take it all the time.
