Visit was for the Andre Rieu concert on the Vrijthof, therefore position could not have been better. Attitude of staff was surly and on one occasion just plain unpleasant. My room was a suite on the fifth floor. The elevator only serves up to the 4th Floor then there is a long staircase with very narrow steps that I found...

Everyone seems to have nothing but good things to say about this hotel.. i wish the experience had been the same for my mum and I. We arrived in Maastricht after an eight hour journey from Ireland to be greeted by a man on reception who proceeded to tell me off for not replying to an email which i had...

If you're in Maastricht for the Andre Rieu concerts then this is the place to stay as it is on the Vrijthof - so literally right on the doorstep. The breakfast room overlooks the square and I can't think of a better and more relaxing way to start my day than there - a great view and a good choice...

We recently stayed at the Amrath Hotel Du Casque in Maastricht.Facing on to the Vrijhtof it was an ideal central location. Everything was in walking distance. The room was spacious and very clean and the bed and pillows so comfortable. The staff where really pleasant and helpful although we only saw the receptionist and a cleaner. I would use this...

Maastricht is a beautiful place to visit and Amrath hotel is right between the two major squares - Vitroj and Old town. The room was cosy and comfortable. Though my windows face the back of the building where I think they have the recycling bins so expect some noise in the mornings. Service was friendly though they did charge me...

This hotel is located right on the main plaza in Maastricht in the heart of town. The rooms are very small and do not have a fridge but they can arrange one if you ask. There is no restaurant or bar but there is a breakfast room with nice food. The bigger rooms are called junior suites (there are 2...

My wife and I stayed at the Amrath Hotel Ducasque in Maastricht for 3 days in early June. The check in went smoothly and we were assigned a good room. The Hotel met our needs as it is centrally located near the towns main square. The room was facing the back and it was quiet. My only complaint with the...

A nice, centrally located hotel with a good price. I somehow booked a room for 2ppl, which they told me at the desk they were expecting another person, so I think the rooms may be different for the single traveler. That said, the room for two people is a normal sized hotel room you would find in the states, two...

The location is great, directly in the town center of Maastricht. Parking in a basement garage is just across the street (not cheap, but psacey, the only limit is height < 1,90m. The reception staff is very friendly, with different language skills. Checkin and checkout was very quick and professional. You have to pay in advance, a problem ? There...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In January and February 2014 the hotel has been completely restyled. Recently Amrath Hotel DuCasque has opened its doors again and you are more welcome than ever before. The Boutique Hotel Maastricht is very unique. The monumental building is located on the Vrijthof in the heart of this historic city. Amrath Hotel Ducasque is decorated in Art Deco style, which results in an authentically styled decor hotel in Maastricht. Maastricht is one of the most historical cities within the Netherlands. It is full of restaurants, shops, boutiques and narrow streets, resulting in a pleasant town to shop. The 1590 different monumental objects within the city create a great atmosphere. It is also possible to visit various museums including the 'Bonnefantenmuseum' and 'Bisschopsmolen': the oldest, still working watermill Netherlands. ... more   less
