After a disastrous hotel experience in Valkenburg the night before this hotel was our saviour. A lovely receptionist gave us our keys and told us to help ourselves to a drink and a cake. She fetched 2 cold bottles of beer each for the men and us ladies had a glass of bubbly each! The rooms were excellent being clean... More

This is very expensive for what you get. I made a point of contacting this hotel 3 weeks before we travelled to ensure we had rooms that had access via a lift. On our arrival we did NO have said rooms and it soon became obvious we were not going to get them. We were in fact on the top... More

We stay one night for 130 euros. The attic room was quite spacious with a river view. We checked in on a Friday night, the breakfast was not included. We paid the most expensive breakfast we ever had in europe and they wouldn't serve until 9 am because the staff did not want to start early on a weekend. We... More

From the outside this hotel my throw up concerns but the rooms are a great side with everything you could need, clean tidy and very friendly staff. Central to the historic centre and just 10 minutes walk to the station. On the downside, no lifts so watch yourself with suitcases up the narrow stair case and no bar or restaurant... More

This is an outstanding small hotel with friendly and generous staff. Everyone was charming and the room delightful with a nice view of a courtyard. The people on reception were extremely helpful and even made me a free coffee. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

Nice hotel in the center of Maastricht. We stayed here for tw nights. They have a very friendly staff. Even though we were early, the lady at the reception arranged that we could check in immediately. The room was very clean as well. When we arrived we got a bottle of wine and a bottle of water on the house.... More

We were greeted with a smile and that goes a long way when travelling. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had a room on the top floor of the main building. Three floors up and no lift....but I needed the exercise anyway. The room was large and accommodated myself, husband and two small children. the room was clean and... More

Hotel Bigarre strechtes across a couple of neighbouring houses. I stayed in the main builing in which the rooms try to remind you of the 18th century and I really felt like a visitor to the archbischop of Liege or the duke of Brabant. The rooms are lovely and spacious and the bath is nicely renovated. The hotel has the... More

We booked this hotel after our car broke down in Maastricht and my partner and I just needed a bed for the night. The room was advertised as a double but was two singles pushed together with the previous guests hair on the pillow. The room is a cheap, tacky design with concertina bathroom door. We requested a refund as... More

Plus points: Good location, generous sized room and bathroom, relatively cheap room-only rate for Maastricht Negatives: Breakfast not served until 8:00 am. Kept awake by noisy guests arriving at 3:30 am and then proceeding to party. No phone in room to call reception (in adjacent building). Flimsy feel to lock on door and safe not secured to wardrobe so felt... More
