A hotel run by catering/hospitality students sounds an interesting concept, but like everyone else we are all attracted by what appears to be good value for money. This hotel is certainly that, large clean bedrooms, large bathrooms, large TV, our executive room even had electric curtains. Free parking was a ‘Bobby bonus’, and the competitive pricing even includes breakfast. We had the last breakfast sitting which was 08:30 (on a weekday) and whilst it was plentiful I found eating in the hotel reception area not 2 metres from the front desk rather strange. I couldn’t understand why the evening dinning area (in an adjacent room) wasn’t used for breakfast as one would normally find in most hotels. We unfortunately were too late for dinner with 3 courses served at 5:30 and 4 courses at 6 pm! There appears to be no provision for simple meals such as omelettes or even a sandwich if your late arriving. Having driven from Denmark, we were rather tired and hungry, and were informed there was nowhere local to eat, and so we would probably want to get a bus or taxi into the centre of Eindhoven or drive in and pay the expensive parking charges. That didn’t exactly appeal, but having visited the pretty Van Gogh village of Nuenen 4 days earlier, I can highly recommend the Comigo restaurant which is only 12 minutes drive from the hotel, pleasant tranquil surroundings, free parking and good food :-) My only criticism of the room(s) was the lack of air conditioning or a fan. Even though we could fully open one of the windows it was ridiculously hot all night. Obviously that wouldn’t be so much of a problem in Autumn and Winter, but on a very hot day be warned! I would certainly stay here again, but ideally on a cooler day, and check in before 6pm an indulge in the 4 course dinner before hitting the hotel bar. …
We spent 3 nights here, and everything went well. Students works here, they do all of the tasks, while a teacher supervises how they communicate, etc. I recommend it for everyone, cause its clean, modern, and very friendly. I would choose again, if I came to Eindhoven.
The room itself was very spacious and nicely designed; the hotel is definitely one of the nicest I've stayed at. Everything was clean and modern. Staff were all very friendly and can't fault their hospitality at all. A few times they seemed a bit unsure of themselves, but I guess that's to be expected of students still learning. Our only complaints with our stay would be that breakfast finished at 9am (not an unreasonable time, but would have preferred it to be later!) and the housekeeping staff were very noisy from about 8am slamming doors in adjacent rooms. Other than that, we had an excellent stay in Eindhoven and would definitely return to this horel.
We had a fantastic meal (reservation required, fixed menu) and a great stay in this gem of a discovery in Eindhoven! The students are eager, attentive, friendly and fun. It is a great vibe to see so many working with such enthusiasm. I enjoyed viewing the Chefs in classroom during meal preparations! It was fun to test their language skills (I'm US and husband is a British) and they rise to the challenge!
The room was huge, same as bedroom. Priceworthy. Quite a nice experience to stay here . Only thing, they are students, still learning. Check in.took quite a while. Food was good as well. if i have a car, i would come.back again.
